WOYWW - 656 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

As you can imagine there hasn't been much going on here but I am determined this new year I will get back to the journals.

So I got two of the old ones out to try and get myself in the mood.
This little one is really a technique journal that I play around with usually with no real idea in mind but sometimes they turn out okay. I used a round gel plate and stencils not sure where it will go next, if at all. If you have any ideas just shout out!

Another old journal. The front cover is a mixture of textures and Tyvek.

Still got some of that Masterboard but decided to cut it up as I have a scanned image of it too it might become a mini book.
Just below there are some quite old Paper Artsy sentiment stamps that I thought might work with some of the pages but we'll see.
I think I have a plan!!!!👀

So that's me done for today, hope you all had a lovely Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x

It felt really strange working in a journal again yesterday; it's been so long . I hope to do more, regularly again. Happy New Year, take care and stay safe. Helen #1

Hi Angela, I've literally dusted off my journal - it hasn't been touched in over 6 months, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do - but I really like the idea of crafting and making something I want to keep, rather than a card to give away - so that will most likely be the focus of my journal. I might even attempt a masterboard or two - yours always look so inspiring! Have a lovely New Year, take care, Heather xx #10

Now I am exploring the tiny journal I might be inspired to do a lot more pages than I do in my weekly Dylusion one which is so limiting with the rules that surround it. It is so thick that I might use one side of the page to decorate and write osn the opposite side about what and why I have journalled the one opposite (if you follow my meaning). That would be good if I did it as a technique journal so maybe I will use the signatures for different things. Hope that gives you some food for thought too.
Not a clue where you should go next with the small journal but I would probably overlay some figures on as I do on a Thursday (not that I do much of a background - never have time, am always last minute.). I think there are so many ways people do journaling that anything goes.
Happy New Year Angela - Hugs, Neet 7 xx

Journaling is like Scrapbooking to me . . . . another world BUT I do enjoy looking at them as folks create in them.
Love that Masterboard - must add Gelliplate to my list of Must Do in 2022 list!
Have a good New Year, stay safe and healthy

How fun, you are always an inspiration. Wanted to wish you and yours a Grand NEW Year, enjoying sunshine, laughter and the many things you still want to accomplish. I've treasured your visits in 2021 I've listed masterboards on the top of my crafty list. I've just not done them enough and they are fun to create. May 2022 be good to you.

Happy WOYWW. I think a lot of us are getting back into some journalling projects. I started an online course in November, but only got 2 days done. Planning to return to it this week. Must fill these dark/grey days. Happy New Year. Ali x #14

Love the journal cover - very textured! I wish I could help you with the journal page, but it's at that stage when you ask yourself "ok, now what?" and I struggle with that ALL THE TIME! I'm sure you'll figure something out! Wishing you a happy and creative year, Angela! xx zsuzsa #21

See, if it was me, i’d take a big old sharpie and write a load of stuff across that page. don’t count on me for practical, useful or proper arty ideas! It’s a lovely page, and I know you’ll get back into the journals, because you make up your mind and do it! I hope you had a lovely a Christmas too, this year after your traumatic past year, I think a quiet and relaxing holiday was in order!

Well done on the crafting. We are having a quiet day today - not that we have done much other than entertain Ben for 2 days which was fun. I might even be tempted into my sewing room but it really needs a good post Xmas sort up and I'm just not in the mood. Happy New Year - let's hope we can meet up in 2022 - masked and tested if necessary! xxx Jo

Loving the look of those journals, Angela! I'd be contrasting all the circles and dots on that first one with some solid stripes or angles just for fun. Happy New Year, my friend - see you in 2022!

Sounds like a good plan to get to the journals. I have doing the LifeBook course this year and hope to get started this week. Tomorrow I am going to watch a film with my granddaughter who has invited me. I haven’t seen a great deal of her these past few months so it will be nice. Wishing you a very happy and healthy New Year Angela #15

I'm toying with the idea of more journalling too. I'm going to try and do Isa.C Art&Craft s tagalong on FB and she is also doing some journal prompts too. I suspect you'll have more success than me! Too many crafts so little time ;-) xxx
