Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

My time has been pretty much taken up by these two when I've not been doing mum's jobs.
Thankfully they are getting on pretty well together though Stan has had to put her in her place a couple of times but he's good at it.

She has found all the best spots too.

They seem to mirror each other.

We were a bit worried last week as she was sick a couple of times so we wrapped her up in Maisie's cooler coat and she's been fine since so it was obviously the heat.

Cute or what.

I think she like Stan but what do you think?

Other than that we've been in the park where they are trying to make a pebble trail.

which will be nice if people don't keep pinching the pebbles.

I've got a few to add to the trail too.

These are some of my favourites.

The park is really dry at the moment and needing rain.

But it will grow back in time.

A bit of lead practice for Daisy.

Sorry no funnies today as I've just been too busy but I'll try and make up for it next week.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW - 686 - What's On Your Wordesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is: "What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I've just about finished these cards.
If you need something quick then this is the technique for you.
I posted the information about how I made these cards on Monday and they are so easy. Find them here:

I used the smaller flower on this stamp set but any small image works well.

This set is useful too for the sentiments.

The paper above is just a waste piece that I had covered the desk with when spraying pieces of card but well.......you can't just throw it away can you so we'll see.

These were some of the colours I used. The bottle of water is for me, nothing exciting I'm afraid and the iron is just for weighting stuff down when needed.

This is one of the finished cards, sorry there's a bit of a reflection happening.
The border stamps are AALL and Create too.
I've stamped the flower on the card blank and then on a piece of left-over Masterboard, fussy cut it and attached it to the card. There are other details but you can find those on the Monday post.

I'm not showing a close-up of  the exploding box today as it's badly in need of a tidy, maybe later.
So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday Use it or Lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

Well these are left-over bits from other projects but we don't want to waste them of course.
So I've stamped flowers from a set by Tracy Evans and fussy cut them out.
These stamp sets are good for this type of card as there are plenty of smaller images to work with which have nice detail.

I needed some new cards but time has not been on my side so I'm going to show you one of my favourite ways to make a quick card using up those bits of left over Masterboard but could be any paper really.

So first I took a round blending tool and two Oxide colours, stamped the first ink directly to the card blank and allow it to dry.
Then with another colour I rubbed this around the first circle blending the colours slightly.

Next added the borders (Tracy Evans stamp again). Love this set and used it loads.

I've stamped the same image used on the Masterboard in the corners as shown here and then attached the fussy cut flowers.

Next you need to add the sentiment.

And then complete the design with Stickles Glitter Glue. I've added that to the flowers and a few blobbs on the surface of the card.

And that's it really!

I have decorated the inside a little and added more sentiment.
But if you need a quick card this works really well and is (CAS) Clean And Simple too.

I think you may be seeing some more cards using this technique very soon as I just need to try out some more of those stamps.
I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

It's been an interesting week since picking up Daisy the new puppy. This is her snuggling up with hubby.
Do you think she's comfy? I mean just look at that face!

She likes to cuddle up with Stan and he's been pretty good at putting up with her most of the time, he just doesn't like it much when she jumps on him from behind but then neither do I!

We took Stan for a hair cut last Thursday (didn't get round to posting the pics so you're getting them a week later) and Daisy had a little trim just to get her used to it. She was a very good girl but not keen on the noise of the clippers but we'll get there.

Now who is this?

We decided to pop into the castle while we were in town to see Lucy the dragon. You may remember me showing you the others that were at the Lincolnshire show which were originally part of the exhibition but they've all left now and Lucy will stay until October.

She is very large so it's not easy to see her entirely.

So showing you the sections, you will have guessed this is her tail.

And here she is complete.
It's very clever how they've done this.

Thankfully that day was a little cooler than it has been this week.

Of course I can't leave you without a few funnies.
It has to be Schnauzers today.

I can agree with this one!

Mmmm! sounds like good advice to me.

Interesting but thank goodness Daisy and Stan can't read!

Seen this face before Lol!

Actually it might be the best place to be at the moment Lol!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

Hi all, I know you're not used to seeing me post like this on a friday but this is a little extra as I'm Guest Designer at Secrets to Stamping today.

If you would like to pop over there the link is here

Any way here's my card for today.

If you pop over there the new challenge starts today.

I love this Vintage style paper from Craft Box and couldn't wait to play.

This type of card is called A Triple Floating Diamond Card.

This is how it looks folded up ready for the envelope.

I've added some vintage gold scrap which has been just waiting for this card.

I think this is quite an interesting card to make and one I may well try again.
I was going to make you a tutorial for this but found this on YouTube which is really good so you might like to check it out: Triple Floating Diamond Card.

If you like it you may want to hop over to the Secrets to Stamping and join in the challenge.

Have a very happy and creative weekend.

WOYWW - 685 - What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

So here is my desk for today!

Peace at last , well for a couple of minutes anyway!
So back to the desk....

Lots of you had asked what I bought at the craft show so that's what you can see here.

Though I have also been making a sympathy card too, sadly for an old friend that I used to work with.

But smiles all round here I think.

AALL and Create stamps and some new Stamperia papers.

Woodware stamps a stencil and that gorgeous little zipped purse.

Tracy Evans was there and she did this sample for me.
What a kind lady.

Not sure what I'll do with this yet but it looks useful. It's like a fancy net fabric.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

Due to a new family member arriving I am spending whatever time I have using up some left-over masterboards.
Sorry there was nothing here on Monday last week there was just too much going on and now this has arrived.

Her name is Daisy and I'm sure you will see her again soon.

However, back to the card.

Both the background and the images are from earlier Masterboards using AALL and Create stamps and stencils. The sentiment is by 'Visible Image'.
In case you wondered I deliberately positioned the background pieces wonky....just for a change really! Then splattered it with white and black paint.

I added more colour to the flowers then Stickles Glitter Glue to the light bulbs and around the circles finishing with some dark shadowing.

Well that's it for now and all being well I should have another card to show you next week.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
