Masterboard Monday and another Use it or Lose it!

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you how I used part of the mop up card from last week.

This was the journal page that I showed you here last week.

And this was the sheet of card that I used to mop away the extra ink.

After cutting this in half I have used an embossing folder to add detail.

I so love this embossing folder.

While the card was still in position on the folder I rubbed over it with a sander. By doing it while still on the embossing folder you do not flatten the embossing.

And then used oxide ink to add colour to the sanded areas.

And it looks like this.

Cut to size and layered over red card. Added the sentiment on vellum paper. Tim Holtz wings and Stickles Glitter glue completed the design.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

This lovely card was a nice surprise.

We found this lady's wallet in the road and managed to find who it belonged to as her driving licence was in there, not sure I would be so lucky. As you can see she was very happy to see it again.

We went to see my mum on Sunday. I thought the Care Home would be really busy but was actually very quiet despite it being Mother's Day.

I showed you a photograph of the sitting room a couple of weeks ago and I know some of you thought it looked very quiet and empty so I'm showing you a different view.

I couldn't show you this part of the sitting room last time as there were lots of people sitting in there. Obviously I can't photograph areas where the residents are sitting as many people don't like their relatives being photographed. We've just been joining in with tea time. The plate had some cake on it a couple of minutes earlier!

This is a fun photograph and not what you might expect to see on my desk but had to replace some stud fasteners on one of the dog coats.

Thursday we took the dogs to the  kennels. As hubby is about to start his Moderation preparation again and will be away for a few days so it seemed like a good chance to get the dogs used to staying at the kennels and I'm going to have a lovely crafty weekend.
I'm off to the Craft Club tomorrow and Sunday will be a peaceful and creative day (hopefully!) so far so good, no unexpected phone calls so fingers crossed.

I might be a bit late getting round today as it's hairdressers day again. It seems to come round very quickly!

Of course I wont leave you without a few funnies.

Good morning everyone.
This could be Alfie as he likes to carry brushes around especially when you are trying to use them.

Felted Schnauzer. Might just have to make one of these, it's so cute.

Oh Dear!

That's well cute!

And so is this!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW -720 - What's on your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the
Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

There is still a lot of stuff stacked up on the boxes making them look as though they have actually exploded! but I have suddenly got lots of ideas for projects and these are just waiting for me to start them. Unless I get out the stash for the projects I will probably forget what I intended doing Lol!

This pieces that I'm working on at the moment was originally the mop up paper from Monday's journal page.
Once this is completed I'll explain what's going on.

Monday's project can be found here:

A little sneaky look but everything can be seen on Monday's post below this one.

The next card was the one that I made for my mum for Mother's Day.

And finally something new by Funky Fossil.
I have plenty of Washi tape but couldn't resist these.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday. Use it or lose it.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
I am here today to show you my new journal page:

These strips of Tim Holtz Washi tape have been sitting in the drawer for far too long, so long that some of them were very very sticky! So now it seemed like a good time to use some of them up.

However no problem they are now covering this page.

I applied a thin layer of Gesso over the Washi Tape first and then the colour!

More unused products out today,  Brushos and Pixie powders this time added lightly so that the images and text on the washi tape was still visible.
I sprinkled this on and then sprayed water over it.

I used this to mop up the waste paint and I can tell you this will not end up in the bin and you will surely see it again.

So this is were we ended up.

I started by hand drawing the two birds and then painting around them to make them stand out against the background.
I masked the birds and stamped over the background with a sentiment stamp by AALL and Create and then splashed on white paint.

I added some white pen to highlight areas and shading too around the eyes and bodies to add depth.

The sentiment is by Studio Light.

I loved drawing these birds though I wasn't sure about them to begin with but satisfied with them now.
You might just see them appear again some time.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

This was actually friday last week when we took Daisy and Alfie for a hair cut when it decided to go really cold again! But don't worry we took them some warm coats to go home in.

Here they are all trimmed up.

He's looking like a real boy dog now.

And Daisy is such a sweetie, just look at those pretty eyes.

Of course in a couple of minutes they will be trying to bite each other just for fun!

We keep finding little teeth around the house at the moment and this is why....

I know this is not the nicest photo of the dogs but just to show you what's happening. Those are the new teeth popping through.

I had to take this pic when I was looking through the bedroom window, can you see the kitty cat?

This was Monday when we went to see mum but obviously I can't show you the patients.
The object of the left is hubbies foot.

On the way home we called in a pub for dinner and this is Chocolate fudge cake....delicious!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW - 719 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Working on Easter cards mostly.

Lavinia Stamps used on this. Some of you will have seen this already, it's a Retiform masterboard.

And this was Monday's card.

Easy to make and only uses a small amount of the Masterboard.

Needed a male style card too so another Retiform Masterboard and a piece from an earlier piece to create this.

Please be ready for a mess next week as I feel like it's time to get my hands dirty again!

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
