WOYWW - 569 What's On our Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

You will see that not much has changed mainly due to family stuff as my father fell at the top of the stairs and they had to take him into hospital, sadly he died yesterday.
My mum has taken this quite well and I think it has been easier for her because he was in hospital but we'll see.

So not much really going on here.
I haven't done anything with the new tube box on the left or the new tub of Paper Clay.
The tin on top of the spotty red box is full of  Promarkers.
I have some new magazines that I got when we went shopping for food and the green can is varnish that I sprayed on the ammonite tube that you saw last week so you can see that not much has changed.

These stamps came with the magazines and I'm hoping they will serve as a suitable distraction.

I did make some Gelli Plate printed Masterboards last week.

And made a card with one of these which you can see in the post before this one.
If you've made Gelli prints you will know that when you start making them you soon get pulled into the technique. It's difficult to know when to stop, usually when you run out of drying space really.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to though it may take me a little longer today.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

I've been playing with the Gelli plates for a change to create some Masterboards. It is so long since I had fun with these great techniques.

I've used Dylusion stencils to create the designs and acrylic paint.
Simple, quick and effective though once you start it's difficult to know when to stop, probably when you run out of drying space!

Then used one of these to create this card with the addition of Tim Holtz and Sizzix dies, finishing with some Stickles Glitter Glue.

Just have to decide what to do with the rest!

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

Friday Fun day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Still moving stuff into the cabin.

Which now looks like this. I managed to add a few things to the walls too.
We can't finish the table yet as we need wood and wheels but I'll find something to cover it with for the time being.

These little beauties are enough to make anyone smile.

And a lazy dog!
Stanley.
Those  are my legs by the way that he's resting his head on so I'm probably just as bad as him but my excuse is that I can't move or I'll disturb him!

Nearly ready for a hair cut too! Again that goes for both of us really!

And Maisie.

Well she thinks the craft mags make a good pillow.
At least they're both quiet.

Mum an dad are quiet too so fingers crossed that it will stay that way.

And I photographed this the other day.

It's a rainbow done in chalk that someone down the street had done.

And of course I can't let you go without a few funnies.

Maisie and Stan love these.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW - 568 # What's On Your Workdesk Wewdnesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

So here is my desk for today!

Now I wonder if you can see something there that has changed from last week?

Yes it's the pebble.

You all had great ideas for it and many were in the same line as myself. I thought the cracked part looked like the mouth of a fish.

And so he went from this:

To this!

Is he not the cutest little fish ever!

Finally as promised here is the tube box. Sorry to keep you waiting but it was planned for a challenge that I belong to so couldn't really show you the finished project until now as the challenge went live on Monday.
The tutorial is on my blog too and you can find it here: with lots more photographs. Hope you like it.

Thanks for your kind thought about my parents.
It's been a bit hard going for my mum trying to get dad to take the tablets as he sometimes forgets why he's having them and being deaf doesn't help as he feels very isolated.

Often even the doctors don't tell him what's going on and then he feels a bit lost to understand why he has to do things.
It surprises me that they don't seem to know how to deal with deaf people. The deaf are not without understanding they just can't hear what's being said or only pick up a few words of a conversation.
They need patience and time to understand what's being said.
I always ask my dad to repeat what I've said and that way I can be sure that he understands but I'm not always there.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

happy crafting,

Crafty Cardmakers - 255 Anything but a Card.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Angela, that's me and I'm hosting today and our challenge is Anything but a card.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy but this time definitely no cards.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

I made this using an old tube box which originally contained a Reed Diffuser.
It had been sat around for some time waiting for me to get the inspiration to make into something, well here goes.

I make no apologies but this is a long post so you may want a cuppa before you start.

I began by attaching some netting from my oranges stretching them to create varying shapes.
I used Prima Heavy body Gel to attach this and then applied some crackle paste too and yes it looks quite awful at this stage

Next I added some ammonites that I had made earlier with moulds and paper clay.

The moulds are new and by Powertex.
Think these may get lots of use.

Once they had settled I added some Prima Art stones, small and medium sizes.

I know what you're thinking, this looks like a right old mess but just be patient it will be worth it.

I've also moulded some moths and added those.

Once they are all set it was time to add the Gesso.

Apply a good coat all over the tube and leave it to dry.

These are the colours I chose to start with.

I took one of them and applied it all over the tube.

Maybe it doesn't look quite so messy now.

More colour and wax to complete the design.
Couldn't resist an industrial rusty finish giving that worn look to it.

That was fun but did you like it?

All comments much appreciated.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

This was the stage we were at last week and then!!!!!

This happened!
Still not quite finished yet but I am getting there.

The shelving in the center of the room is going to be the base for the main work bench.

As you can imagine my time has been rather taken up with this job so not really much else to show you today but we did had an emergency phone call from the carers that visit my parents and so spent most of Easter Sunday driving round Rotherham and Sheffield looking for a pharmacy that was open so no time for any crafting.

This unfortunately is when the Lock Down doesn't work but we're back home again now so fingers crossed that we don't have anymore frantic phone calls. I must say that on the whole the roads were very quiet although there was a queue in the pharmacy but they were good and let me sit in the car then rung when the medication was ready.

We were a bit surprised that we didn't see any police and no one stopped us to ask where we were going.

In case you wondered dad is okay now but the local doctor has been out to him and sorted some extra medication but at 92 he is doing really well so far just pleased they are at home and not in a Care Home.

It is only now that they are starting to realise that the people who work in these homes need protective equipment and I can tell you they work so hard and are so understanding and caring.

Time for a smile I think!

So on to the funnies.

Well that's dogs for you.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
