Friday Fun day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

It's been a fairly quiet week except for this.....

These guys have been coming over us almost every day recently, guess they are preparing for the new season especially as they have new pilots but that's another story!

They may look nice but they are also very noisy. They often fly quite low as they pass as they are on their way home as they go over us or speeding up ready to do a manoeuver.

Now what is it they say?

It's a Dog's life!

Well we have two very lazy dogs!

If this is a dog's life it can't be too bad!

Just a few Schnauzer smiles to finish.

I'm sure this is not a good idea!

Very schnauzerish face this one.

Schnauzers are far too intelligent for their own good.

Except this one Hee! Hee!

And this is how they see themselves.

I know next week will not be so quiet especially friday but I'll do my best to get round everyone.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW - 714 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I am actually working on a new Masterboard so I have an excuse for the exploding boxes filling out again!

For anyone wondering, that is an Optrex bottle at the back of the desk as I've had a sore eye but it's much better now.

I am trying to use some of that older stuff.
Might even get round to using that Stretch Card Template and the wax seals.
There's some red card from a Valentine kit and tucked behind it there's a heart stencil by Dylusions.

No idea what I will use this for but it looks lovely and yes it's new but arrived with the food shopping so doesn't count right!

Finally.........

I know that some of you wanted to see what was inside the journal last week so here is the January page.

Mostly based on time.
If you would like to see how I made it by all means pop over to here:

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Monday is ' Use it or lose it'.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a new page on an old journal:

I've had this for some time and it's time to start filling it right?

I'm going to use some of my favourite techniques to decorate these pages.

After adding the inks to the stamping block and spraying gently with water, turn it over and press firmly but gently to the page.
You soon know how much pressure is needed when you've done this once.

Next I splattered the surface with watered down ink and stamped these clocks in two places on the page only inking part of the stamp each time.

This stamp is by AALL and Create.

Next I added some torn paper tissue which just happened to have a clock design on it. I've had those for ages and knew they would be useful some time. Tim Holtz ephemera cards, had these for a while too.
So far so good I think.

The layering was really coming together at this stage so I added a clock face by Stamperia including the hands which were attached with a brad. The little wings were cut out from an old magazine by Debbi Moore called Shaby Chic. I positioned these before attaching the clock face.

Now these really are old but very useful so I spent some time looking through them and found the perfect sentiment for this project.

I've also added a little shading around the clocks and cards to give them depth and that's it all finished.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Saturday was definitely my fun day at the Craft Club.

I helped my friend to try out some New stamps by 'Stamps By Me'.

These are layering stamps.

The piece above was hand drawn and is quite beautiful.

Very pretty flowers.

About now everyone stopped for lunch as this was actually our Christmas party as we don't meet in December so we have it in January.

Lots of interesting projects on the go

but not sure what this is!

Pretty lace effect.

Handmade bag too.

It just goes on.

Busy desks too.

Daisy and Alfie trying to behave but don't know how long that will last.

Dogs always do things that you don't expect and these two are no exception.

This is actually a cat basket that I won in a raffle and I've used it to store the dog toys but it seems that Alfie thinks it's his.

He began by removing all the toys.

And then settled down for a nap!

Until he got fed up and then found something else to play with.
I bet if I wanted him to go in the basket he wouldn't!

That's about it for today so......

Just a few funnies to finish:

I've found a few Schnauzer cartoons this week.

Schnauzer looking sad, probably been up to something he shouldn't! Typical!

May look sweet but he's probably just took this from your garden!

And all over the carpet!

He's probably wearing a mask so no one will recognise him when he gets up to no good!

This one is not a cartoon but thought it would make you smile.

I'm off now to see what my two are up to!

Have a great weekend everyone and

 thanks for stopping by.

Now that looks better, been having a sort out and the box has survived without explosion but I did get another one to support it. Thought I could put the stash in there that I'm using at the moment.

I have been working in the new journal and I will be showing you soon what I made for January!

Fingers crossed there will be something new for February too.

However I also have a different desk:

This was Saturday at the Craft Club. Now how tidy is that!

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Review of 2022

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show one more of my projects from last year.

This will be the final review of 2022.

It just had to be my favourite project from Hobbilicious.

If you would like to see how I put this together you can find the details here: here: here: and here: and yes there was a lot of time spent on this project. Hope you think it was worth it.

Some of the embellishments are MDF, metal and some are moulded resin.

The tentacles are moulded using a Zuri mould.

The back was covered with printed papers and then a few embellishments added.

I don't know why but this reminds me of a face.

You can see the tenrtacles better here.

This was just a test run with some of the embellishments.

Which I painted before attaching.

This was after I had constructed the violin and considering the layout.

Lots of MDF embellishments.

This next part looks like the deconstruction section!
but you'll get it I'm sure.

Just started by adding some ripped up paper to the front.

Easy way for this is to draw around the violin onto the paper and cut it out then use a file to tidy the edge when the paper is glued down.

The siddes are screwed up black tissue paper which came in the box with the embellishments...waste not want not! and it gives a great textural effect.

Just a few ideas of how this came together.

I used some soft grey board between the sections but it could be left open too.

Don't worry I wont keep you much longer.

This little project took up quite some time as you can imagine but loved making it.

I would love to hear your comments too.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
