Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".
If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the
Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.
So here is my desk for today!
You may well wonder what has happened here! as it's almost tidy.
Well this is what it's actually like today.
I just got fed up with the nearly exploding box/basket and decided I needed more space, great or what.
I'm actually in the middle of making a baby card for a friend which will be a pop-up box style.
Pretty papers.
Obviously you will get to see it later.
I'm feeling quite excited this week as there are only a couple of days left before I go to the Steampunk Festival in Lincoln City.
If you want to know more the link is here.
Sorry for the advertising but I know some of you will be interested in this and I should have photographs next week.
So that's me done for today.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.
I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,
happy crafting,
Angela x

Morning Angela. Well done on sorting the box - that takes real courage to delve deep!!:-) Glad the desk is back to busyness, though. Love the yellows and that cute paper - looking forward to seeing the finished card.
Enjoy the festival.

I have my version of the exploding box and I'm getting fed up with it too! It's only taking up space - perhaps I'll just chuck it on the floor! Hey why didn't I think of that before! Have fun at the Steampunk festival - look forward to seeing your photos, especially if you're dressing up too! Happy #533! zsuzsa #14 (right behind you!)

Thanks for your good wishes. The chiropractor has given me hope. Apparently she studied psychology at first so she understand how people feel and I have every faith in her doing her best for me. Yes, I did have acupuncture but both the Chinese doctor and the chiropractor think it is nerve and not muscle. My Chinese doctor is lovely and she actually stopped me going as she felt she was not helping and would not let me spend any more money. I feel we became friends during my acupuncture times. I would go back to her should I need to. Her husband is very good too - now this is funny - his spoken English is not very good but he can read English fine; her spoken English is excellent (why I prefer her to him) but she cannot read English. They really are lovely.
Hugs, Neet xx
Hi Angela.
Thanks for stopping by. Your "almost tidy" work desk looks fab - you clearly have excellent exploding box disposal skills! Look forward to seeing the finished baby card.

My goodness Angela, that's one tidy desk! Where has the exploding box gone? Lol! The pop-up card sounds fun and I look forward to seeing that. I am so envious of you going to the steampunk festival and I know I shall really enjoy the photos afterwards. Please take lots!
Thank you for your comment. Yes, been very busy - too busy really... I agree about the convenience of paper rather than cloth in the kitchen, and lifestyles are so different today than in our mothers' and grandmothers' day. I am fortunate enough to be able to do these things but I certainly don't expect everyone to manage it! The initial investment in time in making the eco projects is quite considerable but so far I haven't found using the little cloths instead of paper has involved much more work really.
Goodness, I didn't think anyone was able to have milk delivered any longer! Well done you. We have our milk in plastic bottles which are supposedly recycled but glass milk bottles were so much better because they were just washed and re-used without having to be made into something else. I shall be buying a lot less milk from now on, as I am making almond milk, and we may eventually phase out dairy altogether. I was very amused to hear that the young lad didn't know what the milk bottle was for!! Times have definitely changed!
Happy belated WOYWW,

Your desk does look very tidy. I always chuckle when you refer to the exploding box/basket of stuff. I'm not sure where you put everything, though. I'm looking forward to seeing photos from the Steampunk festival.
