Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

More Cabin updates, managed to start organising the space a little.

Some useful corner desks have been fitted but the weather hasn't helped but we'll get there....well sooner or later!
The two sets of shelving are where I keep my old wood mounted stamps....I know I should have taken them off the wood but I still kind of like them as they are.

Two pampered dogs.
Stan just can't keep his jacket fastened, he's just like a scruffy little boy. Maisie on the other hand always looks smart and is able to keep her jacket in place at all times.

Took mum to her favourite eating place and they have Mother's Day cakes already, they look scrummy.
I've also been to see Emma at the cinema which was amusing and out with the girls for coffee oh! and the dentist for a check up, how exciting is that !

So on to the dog funnies.

Much more enjoyable I think.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW - 560 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Still working on the recycled tube box though I've other jobs on the go too so I'm working on both together but as there are stages when I have to wait for glue to dry it's working out okay.

I've made some ammonites and dragonflies using  moulds and paper clay then attached these with some Powertex 3D balls in various sizes and waiting for the glue to dry.
Pleased don't worry it will start to look better soon when I start to add the paint.

On the right side you can see the stamps I'm about to use which are called Garden Chic and are by EcoGreen Crafts these are for a card.
The Golden gel is what I've used to attach the ammonites etc to the tube and there are a few ink pads and AAll and Create stamps underneath the baby wipes that I've also used this week on a card.

I did post a rather nice Mother's Day card on Monday which you can find here: or just go down a little as it's the post before this one.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge -251 Embossing

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Josephine is hosting today and our challenge is Embossing.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

I have to say I had real fun making this though it did take a while to put together.
See what you think.
Was it worth it?

I started by embossing the mirri card with a spotty embossing folder and a piece of white card and a Tim Holtz die on two corners.

Using an Altenew Stamp set (Wallpaper Art) I stamped the flowers onto watercolour card and coloured them with watercolour pens.

The leaves were stamped on some of my left-over Brusho card, heat embossed then die cut.

This was actually a piece I almost binned but kept it anyway so pleased I did.

Stamped and embossed three of these.

I make no apologies for the cutting plate, they get lots of use Lol!

Then it was time to start placing everything.
What I often do if I find a placement I like is to photograph it before starting to stick everything down. There is nothing more frustrating than finding you can't remember exactly how you placed them.

Finally I coloured another piece of white card with the same colours used on the flowers so that I could use that to layer up the sentiment with a piece of the mirri card.
The sentiment stamp is by Creative Wiry Words.

I realise it's not Mothers Day yet but it seemed like a good chance to make a card.
Here in the UK Mothers Day is March 22nd.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

A few updates on the cabin:

Not quite sure what I have included here so far but the electrics are all done now.

I love my new outside light I think it's a bit Industrial looking.

Ceiling lights all completed too and I'm ready to start getting the stuff in though the weather is not helping so it's going to be a bit slow going for a while but their's planning to do too.

We also had a bit of a surprise in the park as they've started cutting down some dead trees as part of the restoration program.

Maisie and Stan ready for their walk.
The jackets are as much for our good as theirs' as they cover the tummy preventing them from getting quite so dirty and the jackets are easy to wipe clean.

So here we are in the park and the tree lopping has started.

There are some big trees in there.

And this was the next one to come down.

Other than that it's been a pretty quiet week....thank goodness so it's......

Time for some more dog funnies I think.
Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

WOYWW # 559 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

To the back left are packets of enamel dots, my daylight lamp, a box of alcohol markers and a jar of water. You never know when you might need a drop of water for something.
To the front of those are some embossing folders waiting to be put away and a tub holding moulds.
To the right of the glass mat is a tub of Gesso, crackle paste, soft Gel paste, a tub with some screwed up kitchen roll and a tin holding pens, my camera case, baby wet wipes and the blue box full of an assortment of tools other than that the desk actually looks quite tidy.

Now you may be wondering what the thing on the glass mat is and you may remember seeing it on the desk last week.

It originally held one of those scented diffusers and now it's being  altered and this is where we are so far.
I make no apologies for the way it looks at the moment as this is only the start of it's restructuring.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday. Masculine birthday cards.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a couple of cards made with some left-over Masterboard:

There's always left-over Masterboard at this place!

Masculine style cards today.
I've tried to slightly different ways to use up this clock style background paper.

I so love these wavy dies to use on layering pieces to your cards though I found the sentiment die a bit strange to position as that's a bit wavy too.

Clean and Simple but it works.

If you need a quick card then this is for you.
Just add a few enamel dots or gems and the card's complete.
I've made these for men but the same design used with different papers could be for females or children, just choose your background papers to suit.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Valentine Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

And what a week it's been! Sun, rain, wind and snow, we've had the lot.

Before I start just want to wish you happy Valentine's Day from Maisie and Stan xx

Got these beauties from hubby.

Gorgeous.

We did get out and go walking in the park the day after some bad winds to find this massive tree in the lake, so pleased we weren't there when it went down.

And I went out with the girls again. A little bit of shopping and a good bit of chit chat!

One of the girls had a large cup of hot chocolate but I'm not sure it's obvious just how big this cup was but I've put the teapot next to it to give you some idea. It was massive. I would say about 10" (25cm) massive!

A couple more of the scrummy puds we had.
The first one was a bit like bread pudding.

This was layered with chocolate and blackcurrant sauce and blobs of cream.

This young man is no one we know but when he wasn't skiing he was playing the piano and I have to say he was brilliant.

One of my favourite photographs techniques. You might remember I took one like this before. The rest of us are reflected through the goggles.

And here we are enjoying an evening with friends.
The champagne was a gift from the owner of the hotel.

The boys are hiding, well taking the photo actually so we'll forgive them.

And to finish off I thought these looked like fun so more funnies for you.

Stages in learning to ski!

And this is beginners who don't read their piste map or take notice of the warning signs Lol!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

WOYWW # 558 - What's On your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Hope you're having a good day.
I have had a bit of a move round but there's still some stuff on the desk from last week though I have another project.

These dies are new and I've been cutting up some of the papers from last week that I covered with Brushos and starch.

I combined the die cut pieces with some Altenew  triangular stamps to create a geometric pattern but it's only in the test stage at the moment.

However if you remember this from last week I didn't want you to be wondering what happened here so I'm showing you the finished card.

The stencil also has a die and stamps to match all by Altenew.
I thought it would be nice to try and combine them so I've added some stamping on the card blank and then used some more of the Brusho papers with the die.
The sentiment is part of the set too and it's called Leaf Medallion.

Never let it be said that I tease you and leave you wondering though I'm not sure at the moment what that embossing folder will be used for, we shall have to see.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,
