Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week and a few smiles too thank goodness.
It's quite an old photograph but one I love that always makes me smile.
The lady at the front is my mum with her younger sister in the middle and her dear friend sitting at the back.
Happier days I think for them all.
However my mum is gradually getting better.
When we saw her on Thursday she was walking very slowly with an aid, the physio had been working with her during the day and she's making good progress. She will be 92 in June.
My Clematis continues to flower.
I'm not sure what it's name is but the flowers are gorgeous.
The local garden centre is famous for growing Clematis as the original owner developed many new strains.
It has a beautiful large flower.
The Rhododendrons are going mad with gorgeous flowers.
My hubby had some bits of wood left from a palette and made it into a Christmas tree, more fun for another day.
In the park the babies are growing nicely and doing well.
Proud parents.
And a few funnies to finish off the post.
Have a great weekend everyone and
thanks for stopping by.
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your smiles too.

I’m late again for Wednesday Angela, so I get a double whammy, So happy to read that your Mum is recovering - and the relief for you must be pretty good too, it has been awful for you. I LOVE what you’re doing with the stamps, I think they make a brilliant master board and have really tweaked my ideas section, even if you don’t do anything immediately, please try to remember to show and tell when you do! That’s based on me and the way I use a master board. I make one and then don’t cut it up and use it for ages. Weird, huh! And i love how you casually say ‘some rubber gloves’ and I enlarge to see why you’ve left your dishwashing gloves there.. and there’s a LOAD of rubber gloves! Made me laugh! Your clematis is a beauty. I have a friend who lives next door to the nursery (not open to public) that grows rhododendrons and azalea and is responsible for the national collection. He once had permission to walk their grounds and my word what a place it is! It’s like standing in a paint palette! We decided we shouldn’t photograph it for public consumption because we weren’t sure if the permission extended to his nosey visitors! I hope your Mum continues to regain her strength and feels better every day, and by extension, that you do too!
What a gorgeous photo of your mum Angela. I love old photos....it was a simple life back then but seemed to be happy. Really glad your mum is making good progress.
Your garden, like ours, keeps on giving us a lot to smile about as do your dog funnies.
Hugs,
Annie x
Lovely flowers and cygnets this week. The pink rhododendrons are gorgeous. You must have quite acid soil in that bed. The common mauve variety was seen as a weed in the countryside around where I used to live, but it was really pretty in the flowering season.
There is no end to the funny situations our dogs provide. Thanks for the smiles. Kate x
A really wonderful photo of your mother and her friend and sister - such joy in their smiles. It's good to know your mum is making good progress - what strength and determination in the light of all that's been happening. Gorgeous clematis and excellent funnies.

Hilarious comics! I especially like the last one! I love Clematis, I see it's growing in a pot - does it over-winter, or do you bring it in? Beautiful flowers! I love swans, how nice to have a swan family nearby! Have a great week, stay safe! Lindart #33
What a gorgeous photo of your mum! That would brighten anyone's day. I', glad she is improving. My mum's birthday is in June too. She'll be 96 on the 5th.
The cygnets are growing fast. And the rhododendron is beautiful.
My favorite is the Clematis. I have always been a clematis lover and I had many different ones in my garden. I also had a double on like you but I can't remember what it was called.Yours is a beauty!
The funnies put smiles on my face. The last one is probably quite realistic nowadays.
Have a great weekend,
Stay safe and take care,
Hugs,
Lisca
What a fantastic photo of your Mum, her Sister and dear friend. What wonderful memories x. Wow to the stunning clematis, it is a beauty x. Thank you for sharing the funnies and looking forward to seeing the 'Christmas' tree decorated!!!! Thinking of you and your Mum Angela x.
I'm glad your mum is doing OK, Angela, and what a gorgeous photo - looks like the Andrews Sisters lol! I love your hubby's idea of a Christmas tree, and the cygnets are so adorable. My hubby saw some the other day when he went out for his walk. The dog funnies are brilliant - especially the last one which made me laugh out loud literally - had to put a sock in it because my hubby's gone to bed and I didn't want to wake him up!!

I was late linking at Annie's this week and have not been able to catch up. Sorry I'm late visiting you, too.
What a wonderful photo of your mother and to read she is doing better. That's relief for you, too. Your clematis is beautiful and I absolutely LOVE the Christmas tree your husband made.
Great funnies, too. You sure know your dogs, don't you? Have a super rest of whatever is left of your weekend, dear.
That is a beautiful photo. It captures so much about the time. Your flowers are looking splendid. I only have a balcony so I am envious of your garden. Take care, do find some time for yourself. Hope you have a lovely week ahead xxx
I'm so glad that your mom is feeling better, Angela - that must be a huge relief for you as she gains strength and control. Yay to the max!!
