Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.I have not taken these photographs but thought you might find this interesting.
This is something we don't see very often but if you were going into Lincoln on Tuesday you may well have seen this congregation.
This was the funeral of some important Gypsies who live in a village just outside the City, mother and son.
The congregation of about four hundred people followed the carriages into Lincoln and up to the Cathedral.
They certainly know how to say goodbye.
Several floral tributes.
Because of the number of people who attended the pubs around the area were advised to stay closed that day. You can work that one out for yourselves.
This was the tree at the bottom of the street on Monday
This is the same one again on Thursday.
This was once a very large willow and it's been cut back as you can see but I knew it would fight back so we'll see how it does in a couple of weeks.
These weeds are in the park and they were not planned!
Apparently according to the workmen the new soil was contaminated, it was not supposed to be and wherever they have put it these enormous weeds have grown and they are so tall that wherever they are they restrict the view to the lake as you can see here. They are definitely taking over sadly.
The workmen have been busy putting those pieces of wood together in the park
and here is the result.
Picnic benches.
The cygnets are growing fast nearly as big as their parents now.
I must leave you there but not without a few dog funnies so here goes:
This is the mucky side of dog keeping.
Dogs do this for one reason only and that is because as a puppy their mother would then regurgitate food for the puppy and some dogs continue to do this in the hope that their owner will do the same.
Have a great weekend everyone and
thanks for stopping by.
And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your smiles too.Angela x

Wow. How sad that is was a mother and son that died. Poor family. And poor tree - but at least it did become something useful. well done to the workers who put it together. Your funnies reminded me of an old babysitter, she loved her dog and would often let it drink out of her glass of water. Even as a kid that made me shudder. Still made me smile, tho :D
Happy WOYWW late again

The funeral looked amazing...they certainly know how to do a send off. The weeds in the park look like Japanese knotweed....a very invasive weed that takes a lot of shifting. What a shame. The picnic benches are fab...I can just imagine you taking your lunch with you soon.
Hugs,
Annie x
Wow to the funeral and I have never seen anything like that before. Yay to the willow tree x. Sorry about those weeds in the park and the soil being contaminated, that is such a shame after all the work. Thanks for the update on the cygnets and thanks for the funnies too Angela x. Have a lovely weekend x.
That was quite a send off wasn't it. I think you could say they were doing it in style! Rather lovely to see actually and the flowers were beautiful.
I am sure the willow tree will fight back. What a shame about the weeds in the park. Some can be very aggressive. I am sure the council will deal them though. They can't let a 'few' weeds spoil all the work they have done there.
The funnies did make me smile, though I am quite glad ours don't get the opportunity to roll around the countryside. And I don't allow them to lick my face either.
I am not doing well with publishing comments today but I'll give it a try. Kate x
Wow, that is some funeral! Like gypsy weddings, they don't do things by halves. I just read a bit more about that funeral and the papers say it all went without any incidents.
I love the picnic bench the council has erected. Very nice. Probably made with one of the tree they had to fell.
The weeds are a disgrace. As the workmen said, the soil should have been sterilized and weed-free. They have been duped by the soil vendor. It will take them a lot of effort to clear that lot.
The cygnets are gorgeous. And growing very fast.
Your funnies are great and give me the shivers too. Yuck! The mucky side of dog keeping indeed!
How's your mum? No news is good news i suppose (hope).
Have a great weekend,
Hugs,
Lisca

Wow they certainly know how to do weddings and funerals don't they! I'm so glad that the tree survived. I shall make sure to just shake a dog by the paw in future lol. Take care and have a great weekend, Sue xx
I am thoroughly fascinated to see the photos of the funeral. Living in Canada, we have no experience of gypsies here, and their culture is truly different from anything we know. They definitely know how to do a send-off in style!!!
Have a great week, Ang, and stay safe! xo
