Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".
If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the
Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.
So here is my desk for today!
I make no apologies, I'm working on the cabinet again.
I know you must be thinking this is taking a long time but I have had a lot of moulding to do and glue to dry so it is something you have to do a bit at a time.
The two metal weights are holding down some large pieces to flatten them as they were curling up while drying.
Some MDF pieces from Hobbilicious and some older pieces by Prima though I've no idea where I got them from but they are one of the things that needed to be used up so I'm pleased I've found a home for it.
This was the packet that the black pieces came in and the card inside is so pretty with little stars so that will be another thing I can't throw away Lol!
I've also added some little stars to the cabinet roof.
The next thing will be to add the paint so very soon all of this will be looking very different. It's still at the messy stage when nothing seems to work together but I promise it will get better soon.
Thought you might like to see this too which I've made during the drying time.
I know some of you have already seen it as you popped over on Friday and I would like to thank all those that left me such lovely comments.
So that's me done for today.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.
I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Some fab projects there - I especially love the black pattern up the side of the Gothic Arch, very elegant indeed!

No apologies needed! Things take as long as they take! It is going to look brilliant. Angela #11
The cabinet is going to look amazing, I'm sure - if the "side" project is anything to go by! I've got a few of those MDF blanks too - it will probably take me years before I start on them LOL! Happy WOYWW! xx zsuzsa #22
I love seeing the progress of that cabinet Angela - it is certainly going to be spectacular once finished, rather like the plaque. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #6
The cabinet is coming on great! I do love the dragon too. You try such wonderful things, i can't believe you've not tried journalling - come on, give it a go! Helen #1

Cabinet is coming along great, all good things take time. Love the mouldings. Hope your dental visit goes OK mine did and my hubby's eye appointment too, just need it to get a tad cooler now.... Happy WOYWW BJ #16
Your cabinet is coming along fine, Angela, and I always enjoy this stage before the paint goes on, when there's a randomness about the colours and how quite often the wrong bits tend to be more emphasised! I love the transformation that occurs once the first paint goes on and it becomes more unified, and then the fun part with all the decorating. I'm very intriged by your mouldings - what material are you using for those? You've got some gorgeous shapes there. I'm really looking forward to seeing the next stages as this all starts to come together. The other piece you made is gorgeous too - so funny that it came across as "just a little something I made to pass the time while the main project was drying" lol! It's beautiful and has a kind of Art Deco look about it.
Thank you for your visit. I had to smile at your remark about my die and stamp organising making you feel guilty lol!
I'm probably going to be too busy to spend much time in the studio this week unfortunately. I've been trying to catch up with a lot of cooking and other stuff before the effects of the radiotherapy kick in - I've been told it could make me very fatigued (more than usual which is a bore!) so have to press on. I'm late with the accounts this month too - first time I've broken that New Year's resolution in 2 years lol! It's a bad sign when my hubby starts dropping hints about not getting his money... Why is it that studio time always ends up at the bottom of the heap when there's a lot to do?

Thanks for your visit yesterday. I’m sorry to say I was head down sewing all day so I didn’t manage one visit so I’m getting round my favourites before I get back in my sewing room this morning.
I’m really enjoying every stage of the cabinet making....I wonder what it will be used for.

That cabinet is going to be stunning, Angela; I'm waiting with bated breath to see the finished piece! And your lovely little dragon piece has me drooling at the gorgeous texture! Wowza!
I do so love that cabinet! So excited to see what the end result will be! You've put so much work into it, I'm sure it will be gorgeous. I love the dragon canvas too. I've never done anything like this before, being more of a 2-D artist, but it looks like so much fun! Thanks for your visit, have a great week, Lindart #29
Loving this, great to use up some found stash, always the best . . . . especially if you've had it that long you don't know where it came from!! win win I think
Enjoy

Real projects take real time Angela, and no apology is absolutely right…seeing it in progress is very satisfying for us onlookers ! love that you’re going to use up some older pieces, and my, how appropriate are they in terms of shape and size. See, all that time ago, when you brought them, you KNEW …! I use a mousse type foam for moulding and it too tends to think it should curl a bit on the bigger pieces. Interesting inni!
Love your new project Angela, it promises to be something of a special kind of cabinet. Between you and Sam I am beginning to think I should have a go at something with some moulded pieces on - it's ages since I did anything like that. Have lots of stuff I could be using up, but my problem is where to put whatever I make somewhere?

That is one amazing piece you are creating there Angela, love it! It's a talent I would like to have myself, but I'm a sucker when it comes to creating in 3D... Have a lovely weekend sweetie, hug from Holland. Marit #2
The amazing cabinet is coming along Angela and a great idea to pop the metal weighs on some of the larger moulds x. Enjoy the rest of the weekend x.
The cabinet is coming along beautifully and I really like the dragon with lighter more muted colours. I look forward to the next installment xx
The cabinet is fairly coming along. So sorry, RL got in the way, and I am terribly late. Happy belated WOYWW! Elle #13, EOTC
