WOYWW - 682 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Not much going on today.

But some new stuff.
A Microwave Flower Press. I have a flower press but it takes ages to dry anything so I've bought this one so that I can dry flowers to go in the resin. These are really quick to use.
The stamps on the left are AALL and Create but not new.

And I've just got this too, lovely stamps and papers.

And a different desk, this was Saturday at the Craft and Chat club.

Thought you might like to see what we were making.

It was very difficult to cut into this paper but it had to be done.

I didn't want to keep you for too long but if you want to know more you can find the details here.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

What no Masterboard Monday!

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Stamperia paper:

If you've not seen it before it is just gorgeous.

The only thing that I find difficult is that the papers are double sided and it takes me ages to decide which side to use especially as there is only one page of each design and I wish there were two so that you would have both pages to use.

But they are gorgeous designs so just had to get two copies.

I have only used pages from one today.

I don't know how clear it is but I have added Stickles Glitter Glue to the moon and the number and then used a white pen to scribble over the black edge.

I've used Kraft Card for the card blank as it seems to fit better with the design.

As you can see this is a 'W' fold card with pockets attached which would be good for holding gifts of money or gift cards.

This time I've cut out some of the tags and mounted them onto plain card so that you can write your sentiments on them.

So that's it for today but I'm sure I'll be back soon with a Masterboard.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

The best part of this week must be our visit to the Lincolnshire show.
I have so many photographs to show you so I'm only going to put a few here today but I'll show you more next week.

As this was the first place I went to we are going into the flower tent.

Not only beautiful flowers but very artistically presented.

They are so beautiful.

And very imaginatively put together.

I just love how different the arrangements all are.

This one was done with dries flowers.

It must take some time just putting the display together.

I particularly liked this one as it looks like a fairy Grotto.

Just beautiful simplicity.

This one was a First Class piece.

I will leave the Show pics there and there will be more next week when I've had chance to sort them all.

Now I want you to look at this photograph carefully. Can you see what the visitor was?

From this distance we weren't sure at first.

But a close-up proves what it is.

According to the council there is not any wildlife living around here so obviously Badgers, Fox and now Deer don't count! When the council decide to use a piece of land they make up new rules obviously or dare I say it tell lies!

We've been seeing lots of these bugs recently called May bugs and they are big but have nearly all disappeared now.

It's quite a shock at night when they bang on the window.
I had never seen them before we came to live here.

I think this photograph shows just how big they are.

Just a few funnies to finish as I don't want to keep you too long.

Just a few Schnauzers today.
The big guy here is a Giant Schauzer.

This reads: "I ate dad's glasses! but he still loves me"

I actually think two is enough!

How true.

Dirty dog!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

So here is my desk for today!

I'm back in the cabin and working on an MDF project.
This was Monday when I attached all the pieces and painted Gesso on the lid and on the bottom of the box.

This is the stencil I used for the top and there are some metal cogs which I will be using later on the lid and some Resin pieces toward the top left.

And yesterday I completed the first layer of Gesso all over the box.

When the box is completed it will close like this.
Only time will know what happens next Lol!

If you're interested it's a kit from Creative Craft Academy.

So that's me done for today.

I will be out at the Lincolnshire Show today but will catch up with you all when I get back.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

This is a bit different today as I've done this with just one colour of Oxide ink.

I started by using the stencil with Vaseline.
When you apply this product through the stencil it behaves like a resist. Apply it thinly and rub gently with a soft cloth to smooth away the excess before removing the stencil. Leave it for a while as it will be absorbed into the card or paper and then you can start to add the ink.

This shows the early stage of building up the colour over the Vaseline. If you are not familiar with this product it is a Petroleum Jelly normally used for dry skin, minor burns and sore lips. I think it's been on the market for a million years Lol! well a long time definitely.

I continued to add more detail with the stencil and some stamping too.
You can see the white areas where the vaseline has resited the ink.

When I felt happy with this I also splattered some water over it and blotted it with another piece of card which I kept to use later.

Even this piece with the tiny splatters will be useful.

This grey ink is quite pale but works well as a background.
To make the card, I've cut a piece of the Masterboard to fit a card blank 5" x 7" with purple and black card for layering.
I stamped the circle part again on the splattered card and cut it out then added the lilac and green colours. I attached this over the original stamped image and added the shading around it. The little bird was also stamped and fussy cut then added.
All the stamps here are by AALL and Create and I've added some shiny cord and Stickles Glitter glue to complete the design.

I have fussy cut a small piece for the inside too and the sentiment is by Woodware.

So that's about it for today, hope you like it.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

What can I say the best thing about this week had to be the Craft show at The Doncaster Dome, a great day out.

There were plenty of people there but it didn't feel uncomfortably busy.

As you can see there are nice rest places too.

Took this pic for our Tracy.

Some body's having a good time here.
Really enjoyed watching the demos and having a good laugh!

I loved watching Kate making the pages for these journals too.

And some Gel plate fun.

I love the bright colours. Maybe I need to think about some brighter colours too.

I feel inspired to get the Gel plates out! though I would have to have a tidy up first!

Some really pretty cards and tags.

And this paper that I hadn't heard of before called Dura-Lar but more about that another time.

It's tired me out looking through all that again but it was a great day.

And so to the finish, no funnies today as I haven't got round to looking for any to be truthful so I'm leaving you with this.

My mum.
She's doing really well at the moment and it will be her 94th birthday this month. Not sure what the expression was about though.

Oh and this!

You may wonder what it is doing here.
It's a jubilee bun sent to me by the cook at the school where I used to teach.
That is so sweet of her, I miss them all.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.
