Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week. The best part of this week must be our visit to the Lincolnshire show.
I have so many photographs to show you so I'm only going to put a few here today but I'll show you more next week.
As this was the first place I went to we are going into the flower tent.
Not only beautiful flowers but very artistically presented.
They are so beautiful.
And very imaginatively put together.
I just love how different the arrangements all are.
This one was done with dries flowers.
It must take some time just putting the display together.
I particularly liked this one as it looks like a fairy Grotto.
Just beautiful simplicity.
This one was a First Class piece.
I will leave the Show pics there and there will be more next week when I've had chance to sort them all.
Now I want you to look at this photograph carefully. Can you see what the visitor was?
But a close-up proves what it is.
According to the council there is not any wildlife living around here so obviously Badgers, Fox and now Deer don't count! When the council decide to use a piece of land they make up new rules obviously or dare I say it tell lies!
We've been seeing lots of these bugs recently called May bugs and they are big but have nearly all disappeared now.
It's quite a shock at night when they bang on the window.
I had never seen them before we came to live here.
I think this photograph shows just how big they are.
Just a few funnies to finish as I don't want to keep you too long.
Just a few Schnauzers today.
The big guy here is a Giant Schauzer.
This reads: "I ate dad's glasses! but he still loves me"
I actually think two is enough!
How true.
Dirty dog!
Have a great weekend everyone and
thanks for stopping by.
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your smiles too.

Some of those floral arrangements are out of this world. They remind me of ones I saw in New York City that were on display. VERY high end. Certainly not your average floral display.
I thought it was a dog in the field until I saw a closer photo. Some adorable funnies this week. Hoe you have a super weekend and great week ahead, dear Angela.
Is it a Muntjac deer? How lucky are you. I've never seen a May bug before [and really don't mind] but I love to see them at yours. Ienjoyed the flowers at the show so thanks for sharing them with us.
Hugs,
Annie x
Hi Angela, amazing flower arrangements. I prefer the Fairy tree above the others. I think I would have liked a touch of red in though. They say “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and they also say “everyone’s a critic” 🤣. I have not seen a Montjac deer, there are loads near my in-laws place. When a Maybug flew into our house I was terrified - not having seen one before. If I remember correctly they are harmless. I did some stencilling today. The ones I did with an ink pad came out well, I did some ferns with acrylic paint, they were not so easy. I bought all my stencils with me - most of them have not been used. Husband’s comment “Why aren’t you doing art?”
What beautiful flower arrangements! And all so different. I enjoyed seeing them all.
Wow, a deer! How unusual.
Yes, we get June bugs. I used to be freighted of them as they are huge and make a lot of noise. But I know they are not dangerous, so now I no longer mind.
Great funnies.
Have a lovely weekend,
Hugs,
Lisca
Ps sorry for being late, I got my days mixed up!
Great photos from the show! i wish I could arrange flowers so artistically. The May bug is indeed big, I've not seen them before - it's quite pretty really; love the photos of it.
That takes me back to when I used to go to the Shrewsbury flower show. I loved looking at all the displays. There are some very talented folk there.
How lovely to have a deer nearby. They come off the common land to the street outside my sister's house. But as you say, the council and contractors bend the rules to suit their own purposes. You send all your photos to them!
Sorry I am late visiting. Some rather nasty virus got me and I have been sleeping most of the weekend. Kate x
The flowers!!! Holy smokes, what an amazing show of creativity and organic light. Any artist would be in heaven there.
How wonderful that your no-wildlife area still seems to be teeming with it. It's terrific to know that humans cannot restrain the planet regardless of how we try!
