Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Retiform Masterboard:

Made this with Kate Crane stamps and stencils by Carabelle.
If you missed me making this you can find the process here:

So here is my next card with this Masterboard.

You may remember my card from last week using this Masterboard but if you missed it you can find it here:

I decorated the card blank first and then ripped two pieces of Masterboard to add on both sides and a strip for the bottom to hold the sentiment.
I edged all of these with a matching colour of ink using a blending tool before attaching them to the card.

I so love these sweet deer stamps by Kate Crane.
I used Tim Holtz Watercolour pencils to colour them and some Stickles Glitter Glue to finish. I've added a little shading too with a grey watercolour pencil.
The stitching and sentiment stamps are from my stash.

Hope you like it and I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

A walk in the park as usual but actually there was nothing usual this week.

There has been water everywhere but thank goodness no flooding where we live but other parts of Lincoln were not so lucky but we have had to take more water from the pond again.

We walked the dogs but Daisy looks more comfy wrapped up in her fleecy jacket. She did not seem impressed with the rain at all. Alfie is somewhere around!

I've never seen the lake as high as this.

We went over to visit my mum on Monday and the Care Home is all decorated for Halloween.
Just hope they don't scare the people who live there!

I rather liked the way they had decorated the Christmas tree which has now become a Halloween tree.

The rest of my week has been spent preparing some Christmas cards for a craft day with some friends next month.

I'm going to finish there but a few smile worthy pics. Not my two but very typical Schnauzer activities.

This is why they get so scruffy!

And they are good at flying too.

And if you don't let them have enough excercise they are quick to complain.

Just wish they would learn some other tunes!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

It's not very exciting as I have been tidying up ready to prep. the Christmas cards for the class I'm doing for some friends.

I got these embossing folders out but still not sure whether I will use them so we'll see.

These Christmas stamps are fairly new, by Kate Crane. I've made a new Masterboard and a card too which I posted here on Monday.

All the details for making the Masterboard can be found in the post below this one here:

So that's me done for today nice and quick just how the boss likes it Lol!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

Another Retiform Masterboard on the way.

First I got out my favourite Kate Crane stamps including the new Christmas collection.

I am using A3 card for this project but you could do this technique on smaller card too.
Start with several Post-it Notes to create the starting line.

Use a blending tool with your chosen colour and apply the first line. It is a good idea to start on the post-it notes and drag the blending tool towards the card.

You should have somnething like this when the post-it notes are removed.

Continue to apply your Post-it notes and the ink. You can use one colour or several different ones.

Continue to overlap the lines until you are happy with the patterns. Don't worry if it looks a bit messy at this stage as it will come together.

You can then add the stamping detail.

I've used abstract stamp images to create this background Masterboard.

When the Masterboard is completed it's time to create the focal images using the stamps above and Distress Oxide inks to colour them.

I stamped these and then coloured them.
I wont need all of these today but you can be sure to see them again sometime soon.

And the finished card for today.
As usual I scanned and printed the original and then using Picasa to alter one of the copied sheets to create the layering for the top.
The stitching is a stamp by Studio Light.

I finished the card with Stickles Glitter Glue though it's not easy to see it here.
Still have plenty of Masterboard left so don't be surprised if it's here again next week.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

It's been a mixed up week weather wise, but some nice days too.

The gardeners in the park have been making the most of the good weather to add more plants. They certainly do look after the park.

Alfie is still only a baby and gets very tired after his walk and he knows all the best places whether you like it or not!

Toad stools doing well in the garden. This one is dark red.

These three were in the park.

Careful round these as they are poisionous.

Looks like they've woke up!
I will be surprised if you can actually see what's going on here but Daisy and Alfie are having fun.

Alfie might be the bigger dog but Daisy can stand up for herself. She has him on his back at the moment. I think she is a bit of a bully really but Alfie puts up with it. He'll get his own back later Lol!

It seems to have been dog day today so thought we'd finish with a few related funnies so here goes.

Now they seem quite appropriate I think.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you cards made with this Masterboard:

I haven't done any Retiform for a while so thought I'd have a play.
(If you haven't done this before you can find the instructions here:)
I love it especially when you have sets of stamps and stencils, you have no excuse now for not using that odd one in the set that hasn't seen the light of day.

All finished!
This is a combination of Aall and Create stamps and stencils with Distress Oxides.

I needed some small note cards and these are the first two.
I cut the Masterboard to size and edged it with a matching coloured ink and attached it to the card blank.
I think this looks good without anything else added other than the sentiment.

However, I decided to try something a bit different with this one and die cut some circles which I applied over the design.
Finished both of these with a Altenew sentiment stamp and some Stickles Glitter glue.
You can decide which you like best, it's up to you but I think that die could have other posibilities too.

You may get to see some more of these as I need to send out a message to some members of the family and these simply made cards are perfect.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Just a few more photos of our trip to Matlock Baths Derbyshire.

This is a very old bridge.

This was displayed in one of the shops which seemed unusual as Matlock is no where near the coast. Bet you can see my reflection too.

But on to this week:

Alfie having a rest after his walk.

Hope you can see this little bird on the fountain, it was enjoying a shower.

Went to see my mum on Monday, just stopped for a cup of tea on the way.

Alfie again. he was looking through the window but I distracted him.

As Tuesday was such a lovely day we took the dogs to Anderby Creek near Mablethorpe.

As you can see it was very quiet.

I took this photograph of the shop as a friend mentioned she remebered it from being a child and wondered if it was still there. It's very old and had closed before Covid started but looks like someone has opened it again.

We went round the back with the dogs and had coffee, very nice too.

This was Daisy waiting for hubby to come back with the coffee.

And if that's not enough smiles here are a few more:

And that's Schnauzers for you!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.
