Crafty Cardmakers Challenge # 240 - Pearls and/or Gems.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Monica is hosting today and our challenge is Pearls and Gems.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards, as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

I used Distress Oxide inks for this project and Altenew stamps. I hadn't used this set before so it took me a while to work out the layering for these but got there in the end.

The background was a masterboard made by smooshing Distress Oxides onto the card and then finishing it with a stencil to create a Bokeh effect.

I stamped several of these at the same time leaving the stamp in position rather than doing one image and completing it as this is much quicker.

Then gradually building up the image.
You may be able to see here that on one of the images I've used second generation stamping as I thought this might add depth to the final piece.

Here you can see the effect on two different colours.

I continued with the stamping until everything was layered up.

In the end I actually didn't use the green ones but I'm sure they will come in useful for another project.

I've included a few photographs here to show the finished card.
The inner sentiment is by Inkylicious.

I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

The bokeh effect is such a creative idea to use as the watery background for those amazing jelly fish. Great stamping and what a fabulous effect ....Stunning card Angela x.

Lovely card Angela, I love the Bokeh technique, in fact Jane had some of my cards on her show on Wednesday.
I also love Altenew stamps although I don't have this set.
Hope you have a great weekend. My crafting is on hold for a few days as I am staying with Becki so that I can be there for Emma's first few days at Big School. Just off to pick her up now and of course Daddy wants to take her out for a treat :O)

Lovely masterboard background. Jellyfish wouldn't be my first choice but you've made them friendly and inviting with the bright clean style xx
