Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.
In the park this week the Cygnets are getting bigger and whiter.
We found this nest on the footpath, blown off a tree by the wind so it's just as well that the nesting season is over.
He's not easy to see but the white bird is a Heron. It's not so often we see them in the trees as they normally prefer somewhere closer to the water.
I'm taking you for a little walk to the bottom of my garden today. This gate leads into the Moorland and not somewhere we go very often.
There's no actual right of way to it but some builder has bought a house which they are planning to knock down about half a mile away and they are trying to flatten some of the land at the moment. This is the view just over the fence.
There are many wild plants in there as you can imagine.
Here's a bit that they've started to flatten.
More interesting are my lovely pears. Hubby calls this the perfect pear and I have to say theu are not all so nicely shaped.
Finally my dear Emily (cousin's Grandaughter) just starting a new school in Year 3.
She certainly seems happy to be going back to school and I love her shoes.
I'm not so sure these are funny more sad really but what do you think?
Dog funnies, much better!
Have a great weekend everyone and
thanks for stopping by.
And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your smiles too.

The cygnets are changing fast now...not so ugly duck now. I wonder what they will do on the land they are flattening...houses? Emily looks really happy in her new school uniform...hope she settled in well.
Hoping you have a good week.
Hugs,

It seems a shame when wild-life habitats are flattened, but there looks to be enough space for 'man and beast. I wonder what the end result will be.
It is lovely to see the cygnets growing up and getting their white feathers. hopefully the blown down nest was finished with for this year. You are lucky to have a visiting heron though it must mean keeping your fish pond netted!
I agree that the dog cartoons are funnier. The others make you smile but are really sad too. Kate x
As we step out of our gate we are on the moorland. It’s been a wonderful place to be during lockdown. To think we even thought of moving to be nearer shops and transport. We’ve scrapped the idea now and are staying put. Hence the newly recovered sofas and a carpet is next.
You’ve got me chuckling with your funnies this week Angela.

Yes, The cygnets are growing up. What will they do? Do the migrate? or do they live there all year?
Your pear is indeed perfect. The netting certainly has done the trick.
Interesting walk out the back of your garden. What a jungle!
Emily is gorgeous!
The funnies are really funny. Especially the last one.
Sorry about mine this week, I couldn't find anything and it was late, my computer was playing up and I wanted to go to bed. Better funnies next time.
Have a lovely weekend,
Hugs,
Lisca
The first two funnies are very much in keeping with the times. Second one most poignant. Hugs Mrs a.
That last cartoon cracks me up - it's so very true in these days. :D
