WOYWW - 698 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today! and I'm back in the cabin again.

I'm working on ideas for the top of the Violin at the moment but can't say this is how it will look when it's finished yet. Just a few ideas.

The side sections are coming along now and I've added gilding wax to the cogs and tentacles but it's not finished yet. The idea with the tentacals was to make them look as though they were coming out of the Violin sides.

 Next a closer look.

Some of these are MDF and some are moulded resin.

I'm also having a look at the back of the violin but we'll see.

This type of project takes time to complete because you can only attach a few things at a time and then you have to wait for stuff to set but there's always something else to play with while you wait especially as I need to get going with the....dare I say it! Christmas cards.

I did go to the Doncaster Dome on Sunday for the Craft show but been busy since then so will have to show you some of my purchases next week.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x

That violin is coming along nicely and the tentacles do look as if they are coming out of the violin. I always think it is best to take it slowly with projects like this so the, slowing down naturally, process helps with that and it gives you time to plan a bit more and get everything in the best place possible.
A friend went to Donny and she came back with five carrier bags full of stuff - what the heck she bought I have no idea - she is addicted, well, I keep telling her so.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

Wow, the violin is looking beautiful - what a lot of intricate work and I think it's good to have that time while things dry to plan the next bit - I'm unfortunately one for rushing into things with too much enthusiasm and then regretting hasty decisions!! Glad you enjoyed the craft show, looking forward to seeing the new goodies.
Hope you have a lovely week,

I can totally see the attraction of the violin project, all the bits that need colouring, painting, moulding and then waiting in between for glue to dry while you fathom out the next move. Perfect for you, no rush, no smoosh it on and see how it looks…honestly it’s going to be an amazing addition to your oeuvre! Glad you got to the Doncaster event, and as for Christmas cards, ugh…it makes me panic a bit when everyone starts talking about making a start!!

It's been a full on day of sewing plus we have the twins before and after school every Wednesday so I've had tea to cook for us all after my day's work....I'd rather feed them for a week than a fortnight [you forget just how much growing kids eat]. It's my time now so I'm visiting all my favourite blogs.
Wow wow wow your violin really makes my heart sing....I love how it's developing. I had a fab morning last Saturday and thought of you often....will show you on Friday.
Hugs,

Thanks for visiting, and I love that you are sharing the process of that violin, really extensive project. AND no I don't do card this early ! and I usually regret it, but I love Fall and time outside in it's beauty. It did warm up next days 60's and no winds. So I'll be enjoying that. Hope to see your fun purchases, Sat. we have a craft show here so will see.

Loving how the violin is developing, especially the tentacles emerging from within, great idea and you have pulled it off really well. Sorry I didn't around to a visit last week. My ironing board came in jolly useful, I've not needed it for it's intended purpose for a year or so now, firstly lockdown so no shirts required and now hubby has retired and son left home and I'm making do, so just a extra craft table when required now! The violin is looking fab. I love the tentacles escaping. I'm having a bit of a catch up with blogs. Not been much time for crafting or blogging and I don't seem to get emails about other people's posts any more :-( I'll be sure to check in and see what's next for the violin xxx
