WOYWW - 598 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Probably not what you were expecting but as I've been working in the cabin this week I thought you would like to see this desk for a change.

If you're wondering why there is a suitcase here, I'm not planning to go anywhere it's is an old one that I use to keep card in, mostly from old packaging and the like.

The project is Mixed Media from The Creative Craft Academy, I will let you see it again when it's finished.

This is the section for the top of the box using a Finnabair stencil and coloured stencil paste.

I know some of you were interested to see how the fabric rusting was getting on and I opened it up this week, washed it and wrapped it up again so more to come.

This is what it looks like at the moment with some nice green mould spots too.

This is my collection of nice rusty screws.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x

What a fabulous collection of rusty screws you have - I keep forgetting to put some nails outside to rust for my Tracy projects. The fabric is coming along nicely - how long do you leave it before checking?
Good to see your cabin view, I just thought you were in there all the time when you post. What a fabulous big area you have!

A suitcase! Maybe that's what I need to store all my scraps too! Lovely to see the Cabin in action - that mixed media project certainly looks intriguing! Loving that stencil texture and the rusty piece of fabric as well! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #20

Only on WOYWW would folk be happy to see rusty nails and screws being wrapped up in fabric, lol!! The box looks great, you’re going to have a lot of fun with that and I think it’s a great idea to use the suitcase for paper storage, better then it just be sat up in the attic!

What a fab crafting space that is. It's fab to see what rusting can create. I watched "Money for Nothing" and they made a huge holdall from old recycled leather which had turned mouldy leaving a very interesting pattern once cleaned up. Nature is clever. xx Jo

Happy WOYWW, your email reminded me it’s Wednesday! I haven’t been too well lately, which is why I am watching TV (Discovery of Witches) in the afternoon. I must go and creat a post for today x Angela (craftingwithjack)

I love your cabin, Angela - I'd be out there all the time given the choice! It looks very well organised. Love the rusty fabric! It looks like those erosion bundles people do. I've never tried this but it looks fun. Looking forward to seeing progress on the box project too.

Thank you for your visit and I'm glad you enjoyed the kitty antics - I'm really glad I got those videos to remind us what funny characters our various kitties have been! They all have their odd little quirks and habits.

Happy WOYWW,

Hi Angela, great cabin shot - I'm with you on liking seeing a busy working space. I would never have thought of rusting material - I'm sure Mr M has dozens of rusty nails. If I was being ultra-creative I would consider making rusty robots for my grandsons which would go down a treat. I might just settle for making rusty keepsake boxes for them, which I'm sure they would love. Maybe a project for me to compete before our family holiday next summer! Have a lovely week, Heather xx #22

Your cabin is terrific, Angela, and it looks pretty well organised too. The fabric rusting is fascinating. I'd never have thought of raiding my husband's stash of rusty screws/nails but then I wouldn't have thought of using them to create such an interesting project. I look forward to seeing how it turns out. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #27

Hi. I have craft space envy! What a great project - can't wait to see what's next! Love the suitcase idea. I have three cases that are almost 50 years old. My father worked for Antler at on stage and he bought me the cases to take on Honeymoon - 50 years ago next year. Take care. Anne x 16

I'm always so excited to see what you've got on your desk, and this week you even gave me a new desk to ogle over!

That stencil paste piece is lovely, and I'm very much looking forward to see the whole project.

Your rust project is looking very interesting! I love it how artists can get excited about rust and mold! :D

Happy week, my friend, from western Canada! Hugs, Win
