WOYWW - 669 - What's On your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Not my usual desk!

This was actually Saturday but since then not been doing too much, though I have finished one card using the Masterboard I made on Saturday.
So here you can see the necessary coffee cup, stamp pads, camera case, sticky notes, blending tool and A3 card all ready for the start of the class technique and over to the left the Retiform samples.

I did a class at the Craft Club on Saturday using this technique and this is the Masterboard I made for the sample.

And card no.1.

A small piece was used to complete the inside too.

Samples that some of the ladies made next.

So pleased they enjoyed the technique as much as I do.

And here is one of the ladies at work.

I'm sure I'll be back to my usual desk next week.

Hope you will excuse me for using a different desk today.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

Last Saturday I was at the Craft Club again giving a class based on the Retiform Techniques I've been working on and I'm pleased to say the ladies who joined in were very enthusiastic and made it their own. Here are a few of the finished projects.

The thing I really like about this technique is that it encourages you to use sets of stamps.

Often I might use one or two stamps from the set but with this technique I use them all. They generally work well together so they're perfect for this technique.

Some of these stamps are freebies from magazines.

These are A3 in size so plenty available to make cards and mini books but of course you can scan these and save the original.

This is the one I made at the club.

And my first card using the Masterboard.
I used the same stamps to cover the card blank and then cut a small section from the masterboard, edged it and layered it on the card finishing with Stickles Glitter glue.
This is one very quick card.
It may take time to make the Masterboards but once finished you have loads to work with and it's all your own design too.

And a little addition on the inside to finish the design.

Hope you enjoyed seeing what we made.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Lincoln Cathedral has now become part of France Lol! as it's being used in the production of a new film about Napoleon by the director Ridley Scott.

Well it was last week but everything's back to normal now.

It will be interesting to see how the cathedral looks in the film.

Just a few of the cast.

The real Notre Dame Cathedral.

Apart from that we've been in the park again. This traffic cone seems to have gone walk about and it will be interesting to see where else it goes.

Though it did go walk about again this time to the Band Stand Lol!

Now I wonder if you can see this little tiny bird and no I don't mean the Pigeon on the ground!

This should look good when the Willow starts to grow. I've seen it done before and the willow usually gets growing fairly quickly.

Another one that's difficult to see.

And the road back home has looked like this as they are resurfacing the road not far from home.

I'm sure it will be fine when completed.

So that's about it so I'll finish with some dog funnies.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW - 668 - What's on your Workesk Wednesday.

Back in the Cabin again.

Nothing very exciting today as I've been busy sorting folders of left-over paper and card.

The boxes and tins you can see at the end of the table are now empty but I'm sure I'll find another use for these later.
No crafting here but I did post this card on Monday.

So that's me done for today, Oh! apart from this!

Just for Tracy! if she's around today.

They look quite ordinary from the outside.....

And this is the inside where the frogs live.
They used to be quite popular at one time but can't say as I've seen any for quite a while, they are not as beautiful as the gorgeous cups that Tracy showed us but lots of fun all the same.

Now I am off.......
Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Retiform Technique.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you another card using the Retiform technique. I'm having such fun with this and hope you're not bored with it yet.

This would make a great Christmas card but is actually a Birthday card for a friend who works in France during the Ski Season which I hope explains the wintry scene.

Here you can see the inside and more of those left-over strips.

And I've decorated the envelope too.

Just trimmed the design, layered it onto some blue card and a 5" x 7" card blank

Hope you like it.
If you need more details of how to make a Retiform Masterboard or card you can find the instructions here:
Just finished it with a sentiment, Stickles Glitter Glue and enamel dots.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

This is Lincoln Cathedral and I'm sure I don't need to say much more regarding the flag and lights though the Cathedral is due to be used for part of a film again soon.
It has been used several times in the past including the Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks, Young Victoria and several others. The new one is by Ridley Scott about Napoleon and the work in preparation is well under way.

It is a beautiful building.

Not sure the locals will be too pleased as they are closing some of the roads round there but guess it will bring some business to the city.

There's all sorts going on.

This way to the Set........

Now we're back to the park.

I couldn't resist showing you this.
He's the only dog I know that climbs trees and he's a real sweetie too though his enthusiasm for climbing got him into trouble the other day as someone had put out bird food on the top of a concrete cover that stands about four foot high and he jumped on it and started eating the fat balls which I know from experience will probably upset his stomach!
I shall say no more than that!
By the way his name is Geordie as he came from Tyneside.

Sorry this is not a very brilliant photograph but the weather has been quite nice here and the schools have been coming out and taking lessons on the Band Stand. All those yellow high vis. jackets are the children.

My Helleborus (Christmas Rose) is flowering.

I'm sure you'll agree this is a very pretty flower.

And what a pretty face!

Walks in the park are always interesting and here is one of the inhabitants. She didn't seem bothered by us at all.

And a few dog funnies to finish.

Where's our biscuits ????
We've been out, done our thing and we're back in the crate so were is our biscuit women!
I think somebody is about ready for a hair cut Lol!

Any way back to the real funnies!

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.
