Review of 2022

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show one more of my projects from last year.

This will be the final review of 2022.

It just had to be my favourite project from Hobbilicious.

If you would like to see how I put this together you can find the details here: here: here: and here: and yes there was a lot of time spent on this project. Hope you think it was worth it.

Some of the embellishments are MDF, metal and some are moulded resin.

The tentacles are moulded using a Zuri mould.

The back was covered with printed papers and then a few embellishments added.

I don't know why but this reminds me of a face.

You can see the tenrtacles better here.

This was just a test run with some of the embellishments.

Which I painted before attaching.

This was after I had constructed the violin and considering the layout.

Lots of MDF embellishments.

This next part looks like the deconstruction section!
but you'll get it I'm sure.

Just started by adding some ripped up paper to the front.

Easy way for this is to draw around the violin onto the paper and cut it out then use a file to tidy the edge when the paper is glued down.

The siddes are screwed up black tissue paper which came in the box with the embellishments...waste not want not! and it gives a great textural effect.

Just a few ideas of how this came together.

I used some soft grey board between the sections but it could be left open too.

Don't worry I wont keep you much longer.

This little project took up quite some time as you can imagine but loved making it.

I would love to hear your comments too.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Obviously puppies keeping us busy.

Little Alfie is growing and getting very inquisitive.

The weather has been all over the place here recently but we have managed some time in the garden.

And plenty of time relaxing too.

Well somebody has for sure.

Now I have to say that Schnauzers like to look smart.

So they go to the hairdressers regularly.

Bath time is very important too.

They are also very clever and enjoy a little bit of laptop fun!

And a drive out in the car, though they normally sit at the back as they don't have a licence to drive yet.

In fact they are probably too clever for their own good Lol!

We visited my mum at the Nursing home, it's a nice place and has about 90 rooms.

These were in one of the dining rooms and lots of you know how much I love fish. It's so relaxing watching them swim around.

As the time was getting on when we got back to Lincoln we called in one of the restaurants for dinner and finished with this. Yes it is as big as it looks and absolutely delicious and you have to have cake on your birthday week don't you!

Chocolate fudge cake served warm with cream and two spoons as it's impossible for one person to eat it all but sharing is nice too and if you really can't manage it they have Take Away tubs too.

Wishing you a lovely weekend.

I'm off to the Craft Club Saturday so might have some happy photos to show you next week.

  Thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for "This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your smiles too.

WOYWW - 712 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I have got round to starting something new!
However please don't look too close at the exploding box as it's not got much further to go so think I really will have to get it sorted.

And so to the new stuff.

Actually this is not a new journal book but it's never been used and so as part of my 'Use it or Lose it' plan it has to be filled.

I am hoping to complete at least one page per month to begin with but we'll see. I am trying to be realistic so I'm not planning too much too soon.

Started with some simple colour blending and some white splatters.

Stamping.

.

More stamping and a collection of different ephemera then more paint splatters and stickles glitter glue.
I finished this with a few old postage stamps.
I know Christmas is gone but some of the elements were left over so it seemed like a shame not to use them.
I hope this will be the start of lots more pages.

And for those of you who were interested in the tag book dies this is what I've made with them.

This was made with a mixture of patterned papers and diecuts.

So that's me done for today.

It's actually my birthday today but I will do my best to get round everyone, just might take me a bit longer than usual.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Review of 2022

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you some of my favourite cards from last year.

These were a few we made at the Craft Club and we were working on quite a few fold cards last year which have been really interesting to make so you may well see more of these this year too.

Loving these papers.

Concertina Pocket Card.
Papers by Stamperia.

I have been using a few patterned papers that have been hanging around for far too long.

Hope you like this one it was great fun to make and it's called a Twisted Slimline Fold.

Papers by Prima.

Love this one too!

We called this a Tripple Floating Diamond Fold card.

This one may look thick but it still folds flat and fits into a 6" x 6" envelope.

These papers were by The Creative Craft Accademy.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

It's been a mixed up couple of weeks but these two have been a good distraction.

They seem to be taking it in turn to keep an eye on me making their dinner!

As things have been all over the place this week we haven't really been anywhere much so I'm going to finish with some great Schnauzer funnies. Hope you like them.

Hope I've got more interesting things for next week.

Sounds about right!

I love both of these.

Too true!

Wishing you a good weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

So here is my desk for today!

Although there isn't a lot going on here again this week I do have a new set of dies and stamps with papers too. These are by Marlene for Studio Light.

Now I said I wouldn't buy anything else this year but this doesn't count right! because it was ordered before Christmas just had to wait for it's arrival. Oh and it is my birthday soon!

This die is also by Studio Light.
The tag book I'm making is hidden under the clutter somewhere.

A close-up gives you a bit more idea of what's in the pack.

I'm looking forward to playing with these if my little furry friends will behave themselves for a while.

Daisy (left) and Alfie (right and ready for a hair cut).

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I will be round to see everyone soon but have to visit my mother as they've had to take her into hospital but don't worry I'll be round soon.

Have a great woyww

happy crafting,
