WOYWW -756 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

New stamps and stencils Yipee! and all my blending tools waiting in the background too.

I make no apologies for showing this Masterboard again but I am up to the quick cards now and this is the first one of this type I've made all using Kate Crane stamps.

I have explained how I put this together on my Monday post if you are interested.

And this was my desk on Saturday at the Craft Club and yes I actually made all these cards though I had cut everyhthing out at the ready before going.
You may notice that they are the same layout as the snowman card.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

I make no apologies that you are seeing this Masterboard again.
I had some small pieces left-over from another card project and we all hate to waste card with such a great pattern so I used it to make a simple card which only needs small pieces and some form of decoration.

I had already stamped, coloured and fussy cut some of the characters which I would later use to add detail to the card.

So here goes.

  • Simply cut two pieces of Masterboard and attach them to the card blank.
  • Take a piece of white card and cut to size then tear along it's length and attach over the masterboard pieces.
  • Cut a narrow strip of the white card and edge with an appropriate colour of ink and add a sentiment then attach to the card.
  • Colour and fussy cut your chosen character. I added Stickles Glitter Glue to the hat, buttons and created a few snow drops too.

If you look closely you will see that I've added some Goggly Eyes too which I had forgotten I even still had but I think they work really well.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

The picture above looks rather cute until you know the boiler above it was leaking!
We had just had the annual boiler check and a couple of days later I kept hearing what sounded like a drip but couldn't find anything until two days later I noticed this bowl was full of water. Luckily the bowl is always under there (though not usually the duck, my hubby decided to put him there). I noticed the bowl was almost full of water. I am so glad the bowl was under there or there would have been water everywhere. So that was the start of the week.

Alfie of course doesn't care as long as he has his warm towel to rest on. This was just before he went for his hair cut.

This was when he got back though in this position he doesn't look much different as Schnauzers always have quite a thick beard.
I have no idea how he got into this position or if it can be very comfy but he looks happy.
You can just see Daisy tucked up on the left.

Later we went outside, no idea what he's up to here. He likes brushing up against the plants.
Daisy is around somewhere.

Went to see my mum Monday and popped into the pub on the way home for dinner.

Later in the week it was sunny so I thought I would clean round the outside of the cabin and found these when I opened the door.
Now that's a lot of Ladybirds! There were more and they weren't there when I went in at the weekend.....or maybe they were hiding!
It's interesting how many varieties of spots they have.
Maybe they're looking for somewhere warm as the temperature is dropping now.

I had just gone into the conservatory when I noticed this guy digging in the garden.

I went closer to the window to see if I could get a better photo. He/she looked at me as you can see here and then....

just carried on with the job in hand. Obviously I didn't bother it at all!

Apart from visiting mum, more gardening and walking the dogs oh and card making! that's about it really so I'll finish with some funnies....

If you don't like Schnauzers then look away now Lol!

I found these photographs on-line.

Apparently the monks took the schnauzer on as part of their order and made him a little habit to wear.

He certainly seems to like his life as a Monk.

And this guy obviously thinks the whole thing is worth a laugh!
Hope you liked it too.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

So here is my desk for today!

This was Monday but I'm showing it today as not much else has happened since and I know someone was asking about the Tim Holtz Watercolour Pencils.

I used them to colour the reindeer and I love the way they blend and the depth of colour too.
The stamps are by Kate Crane but you probably know that already.
I have used some Stickles Glitter Glue on their nose and hat too.

If you want more details about this card you can find it here.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

You may remember seeing this Masterboard before, made using Kate Crane stamps and the Retiform technique.
I make no apologies for using it again as it's just perfect for my Christmas cards.
I scanned this to save and use again and you can alter the original design too, I use Picasa Photo Viewer it's easy to use which I've done with the papers I used for the inside of this card.

If you missed me making this Masterboard you can find the details here:
I've also made other cards using this masterboard and you can find them Here: and Here:

And today these are the products I've used for this card:

Hope you like it.

Don't you just love these Reindeer. Their sweet faces can't help but make you smile.
I used some of the original Masterboard at the sides and tucked behind it in the centre one that I had altered using Picasa Photo Viewer and inside too.
Also used some Stickles Glitter Glue on their nose and hat.

And so to the inside.

I still enjoy opening these cards no matter how often I make them.

I used one of my favourite stitched stamps to edge the card.

And you might know that little Balloon dog is joining in the party too.

Hope your week is full of crafting fun.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Visited Downtown near Grantham, a large shopping Mall.

They have a large garden centre with fish and I just had to have a look at them.
They are so colourful.

And of course they are setting up for Christmas too.

Back home are two comfy dogs......

Daisy and Alfie had just been for their hair cut and were very tired as I'm sure you can see.

It's a dogs Life!

If you haven't seen these already they are samples from the craft day I organised for some friends last week. We had a great day.

One of my friends gave me these gorgeous flowers as  a thank you for organising everything.

And a few Schnauzer thoughts to finish.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

WOYWW -754 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Sorry but I've not done anything with the Stamp Masterboards yet but these are a few samples of the cards my friends made last week at our Craft Day.

I shall probably make some more of these.

This is the one on the left.
I am really getting in to these with the pop out mechanism and my friends managed them too with a little help.

I rather like this one and think it would make a nice base for a Nativity scene too.

And of course we have to include some snowflakes. These are really quick to make once you've cut everything out.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday? It's Christmas cards!

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with some left-over Masterboards:

I am determind this year to get those cards made earlier rather than let things get manic in December.

I've used a new Tim Holtz set of dies for this card and love it.

It's just perfect for these left-over inked papers.

These papers were intended to be part of some masterboards but they are perfect for these cutting dies so you can expect to see more of these soon.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
