WOYWW 284 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Back again for yet another Wednesday.

Angela here to show you:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the
Stamping Ground and our dear host Julia will explain and all will be revealed.

Last week was manic for me and I have only just really got round to unpacking my bag of goodies that I got from the Hobbycraft Show at the NEC so here they are.

I have a variety of new stamps by Lavinia Stamps, Tim Holtz, Dina Wakley, Visible Image and JustRite Papercrafts.

I also have some metal embellishments by Tim Holtz.

I was really looking for something a bit different and this show is good for that as there is a good mixture of companies selling Papercrafting, Textiles and Fine Art materials.
As mentioned above, I have some new stamps but I also bought a kit from PowerTex which is a fabric hardener.

I will be posting a sample of what I've made so far before the end of the week.

Looking forward to trying this out with a variety of materials.
Apparently the company are intending to distribute this nationally in the UK but there may well be some of you who are already familiar with it in other countries.

Now I must clear all this away and get back to the crafting and you must go off and visit my WOYWW friends.

Have a great week and happy crafting,

Angela x

Hi Angela, Well, I am seriously green with envy about those snowflake stamps!! I really, really need them :)
I've seen something like your fabric hardener here. Actually, I think I've seen more than one variation of it but can't think what they are called :)
Have a good week.

Fabric hardener sounds intriguing, I'll have to Google that! Great stamps, can't wait to see what you make with them! It must have been amazing at the NEC - I wish I could visit a craft show like that once It's pretty much my idea of heaven! Have a great week! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #33

Your new stash looks wonderful - I bet you can't wait to get stuck in! I love the snowflake stamps and I have never heard of Visible Image so I'm off to have an explore in a minute. I'm also intrigued by the fabric hardener - I use starch a lot in fabric work but am now wondering how this might differ from that - another interesting thing to follow up - thanks for all the info! Hope you have a great week 'playing' with all your goodies,

It seems like quite a number of folks managed to get themselves to NEC and pick up a few new toys. I'm sure you will have lots of fun trying out your new stamps, embellishments, and doo dads! Judy #73

Hi Angela, Happy WOYWW. What a lovely interesting haul, I would love to dive into that pile!
I have never been to the NEC and it seems unlikely that I will, Hubby will drive me to Shepton Mallet (very small show in comparison), and Exeter (well sometimes, and usually when we are going on holiday in Devon we go on the way, he wouldn't drive me to the last one).

It's always so much fun to get new goodies to play with. The hardest part for me sometimes is getting the time to do so - LOL! Have fun with your new artsy stash, my friend!

Oooh how we all love new stash! What a great collection you have there, Angela, and how exciting, planning how to use it all. I'll be most interested to see what you do with the fabric hardener.

Thanks for your lovely comment - so glad you like the progress of my album! I think the Scottish pages are the ones I've enjoyed most, so far. It is turning out to be a really fun project, even though it is taking months and months to do!

Happy WOYWW,

Hi great new stash I wish I lived a bit nearer to the NEC but it's just too expensive to get there for a day hope you get to play soon.... It's so frustrating when you get new stuff but then there's no time to play with it. I use stiffen stuff for fabric it's great I wond if it us the same

I'm with Janet - it ups the cost of your stash when you have to figure in a hefty travel expense too :) I've seen the new posts too (cause I had to wait to carry one my commenting till Google reverted to number instead of word verification :)) and agree the wonky strips work well. Same for me with text. I rarely (if ever!) attempt to line up text perfectly if I am stamping, not often if using stickers. If I want it all nice and tidy, I'll print it or use a full sentiment stamp and not letters. Love the Masterboard - but then you know that by now....

:)

Happy (late again) WOYWW!

awesome new goodies! I thought i had already commented but I guess I thought wrong...I seem to have a gremlin in the computer doing weird things with posts! Thanks for coming and visiting my desk this week. I am so late getting around but it seems something always gets in my way of desk hopping! Have a great rest of the week. Vickie #43

Hi Angela, a very late returning your visit, but life seemed to get in the way.
Gosh don't you have such a lot of lovely stuff on your page, I love your masterboards, not something I have ever tried, but you have tempted me to have a go, and I love those Lavinia stamps you bought at the show, they are gorgeous.
Thanks for sharing it all.
