Crafty Cardnakers Challenge -262 Things with Wings.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers.

Mary is hosting today and our challenge is "Things with Wings".
As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards as long as it meets the challenge.

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

Love these stamps by Dark room Door.

I'm making a card today using this Masterboard which was printed using the Gelli Plate.
Next I added some texture using a stencil and some crackle paste.
Which gave me this.
These close-ups show the gorgeous crackle paste really well.

And here is the finished card.

I stamped and fussy cut some birds by Dark Room Door and added some Stickles Glitter glue and a little shading around the edge.
Added some shading to the background using charcoal pencil then rub it with a finger.
You can set this with a fixative if needed.
Attached the birds.
The shadow just helps to ground them a little so they don't appear to be floating.

And we're all finished with the addition of a Tim Holtz die cut sentiment.
I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.

Happy crafting.

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Wedding Anniversary Flowers.

Thought you might like these to start us off today.
So pretty.

Otherwise it's been a normal week (what ever that means!) but did escape for a while.

Out with the girls for a walk.

Good distancing as you can see.

In the park this week. Strange looking egg on the nest!

Cygnets getting bigger every day.

The willows that were chopped back are looking really nice now.

But this was a bit of a shock on Thursday morning. This massive tree had come down. It was on the island and the wind must have caught it during the night.
Bet they'll get a bit wet trying to sort that one!

Now I didn't leave you any funnies last week so today I'm going to make up for it.

Hope they made you smile a little.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW - 586 What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

That box on the left is filling up again and I've some new stamps from a magazine on the desk.
The box on the right holds some Distress re. inkers that I've been using.
There are some paints at the back there which I've been using on my pebble.
If you look carefully you may see it. I started working on it this week.
Maybe now you can tell what it's going to be.

I've started colouring it but there's some way to go yet, bet you know what it is now.....well I hope so.

Not really much else to show you today so that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

I have already used a good part of this but there is a small amount left.

First the background using the card that I cleaned  my brayer on.

And a stamp by AALL and Create.

Here it is a tiny piece of the Masterboard. There is always some way to use up those bits.

I used matching paints to colour the dots for added interest.

Of course I can't waste the left-over paint either so I've taken it off the craft mat and brayered it onto a piece of card for later.

I've attached the flower using a hot glue gun to give some dimension to the petals then layered up some card ready to mount it on.

I've added a little bow and some white dots on the petals, circles and edges for added interest.

The close-up shows it better.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

The male swan (Cob) has decided that all the geese must get out of the lake and he's been working hard to make sure they understand as you can see.

Seemed peaceful again until......

Mr Cob was no longer satisfied with the geese being on the edge of the lake and decided he doesn't like them anywhere near it either.
Sorry it's not a very good photograph but didn't want to get too close as he was in an awful mood.

These two kept out of the way.
Not sure what they are but if you look closely you will see that they have pretty tufts on their heads so not your ordinary mallard.

The lawn was looking a bit dry but we have had some rain at last.
Maisie and Stan are having a sniff round.

Among some of my father's belongings we found this photograph.
The baby is my God daughter and the photograph was taken at her Christening. She was 40 this month. I can hardly believe it and yes the other person in the photograph is me.

Before I forget, Lisca asked how many fish I have now. We have ten Koi of different sizes and shubunkins (fancy goldfish) but not sure how many of those exactly.
The new Koi are to replace some older fish that we've lost over the last couple of years. I did have five very large Golden Orfe which normally live for twenty years (if you're lucky) and they were the first fish we put into the pond sometime early 1990s and the last one died last year. It was big. They look like this:

So gradually I've replaced them with Koi.
I'ts best to do this slowly to give the filters chance to adapt to the changes so that's the story so far.

Other than that been to see my mum who is doing really well now and walking with the girls, obviously at a distance but it's nice to get out of the house and somewhere different anyway.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

WOYWW 585 - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

So here is my desk for today!

You may be shocked at how tidy it is but I decided to have a bit of a clear up before I start something new, well you have to sometimes ..... right?
One of the exploding boxes is packed away and the other one is no longer at exploding stage.
I have my gloves and Gesso at the ready.

Now I know you may be hoping I'd got further than this but I have prepped the pebble with some Gesso so you never know I might get it done for next week.
Lots of you had ideas about what it might become but no body actually guessed what my plan is and no it's not going to be another car.
I'm not sure looking at it now that it would give you any better ideas but if I tell you it's something you might find in the sea.
That's all you're getting so far.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge - 261 Lots of Layers.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers.

Jo is hosting today and our challenge is "Lots of Layers".
As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to be cards as long as it meets the challenge.
Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

Hope you stop by while I show you how I made it.
There are many ways to create layering and this was done both by stamping and stenciling and layering the card.

To develop this card I started by layering up images using AALL and Create stamps and stencils and also a stencil by Studio Light which is part of their Grunge collection.

The paper is A3 Daler and Rowney Mixed Media.

It's ages since I made a Monochrome Masterboard and I'm really liking the way the detail stands out as it's not distracted by the colour.

I really like the perforated edge so I've kept them as it adds extra detail to the finished design.
Here you can see that I've cut away a section of the Masterboard and layered it onto black card.

At this stage I started building up the design.
The coloured card is left-over from an earlier project. I coloured it by layering designs on the Gelli plate.

It's worth playing around with an arrangement before sticking everything down and I often photograph any that I particularly like so that I can go back to them later.

Here it is all finished.
The central triangle with the sentiment was attached using 3D dots to give depth and I've added some enamel dots too.
(Dies are by Honey Bee)
I think there might be more of these to follow.

Hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.

Happy Crafting.

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Now what could this be? keep going and you'll find out.

Now this lady is more obvious, she's resting.

And everyone needs a pillow.

And she is not impressed at being disturbed either.
Just look at that face!

Oh well back to sleep!

Found these painted pebbles in the park.
So sweet.

Oh yes and there was this........
Called in the fish farm on the way home from seeing mum to pick up some test tablets......

and this beauty jumped into the bag and came home with us.

Can't let you go without a few funnies.

Bet there are lots of you that can relate to those.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.
And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
