Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".
If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the
Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.
My desk isn't very exciting today.
My poor tube box is still sitting there at the back waiting for me to get back to it, several stamps on the left waiting to be sorted but I have finished my little green car which is why the varnish is still at the back there waiting to be put away.
So here she is my sweet MGB GT.
Her name is Mustard which may seem strange considering she is British Racing Green however when we bought the original car she was Harvest gold and some years later my hubby and a mechanic rebuilt her and the colour was changed.
We have had the car now for 40years so she's kind of part of the family.
So this is my interpretation of her.
Front.
Back.
And sides.
So pleased Sarah encouraged me to change the font on my blog it's so much easier to read now. I have had lots of you asking which one I'm using so guessing it's a problem lots of us have had so get on there and sort it!
So that's me done for today.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.
I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,
happy crafting,
Angela x

It is good to see the pebble MGB in more detail - and 40 years for Mustard is brilliant, you must really have cared for that car. I hadn't noticed having a problem with the font on your blog, but do agree the new one is very good (especially as my glasses are in my bag ready to go to work so I am not wearing them and I can see it easily!) Great to hear about the story of Mustard - the pebble is great fun and makes me smile!!

Do you know I have always wanted an MG!? I don't know why, I'm not a car person really even though hubby works at Beaulieu (he's not a car person either!) Either an MG or a mini is my ideal, especially the older ones that have more character like your Mustard I bet! Have a lovely week, Lisa-Jane #15
Morning Angela. 40 years - well done. No wonder you wanted to immortalize her in a stone!! Our family caravan is 28 seasons this year - and as you say, a part of the family! I love all her different sides.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

Oh wow you have done an amazing job at creating your little rock car what a beauty. Have fun while you create and stay safe.

Your little car is lovely, so good to see it from all angles too. Also interesting to know a bit of history behind it - gosh 40 years old - that is going some.
Hope your mum is doing alright.
Hugs, Neet 5 xx
I love your little pebble car....it's good to see it close up. 40 years!! She really is part of the family and very loved I'm sure.
Hope your mum is settling well now and the care team is working well for you all now.
Hugs,

Hello Angela! I love that painted rock. It's incredible. I am so impressed with the detail. I definitely need to add painting some of the rocks I have in my crafting rotation. I love rocks and painted rocks are just so much fun. I have been making cards lately so I can be able to re-open my Etsy shop in September. Fingers crossed I make that deadline. Rainy day here, tea consumption goes up on rainy days so I am off to go the bathroom (ha, a side effect from all the tea!)
Stay well, my friend.

How lovely , to make a little memory of your car, its adorable. Glad you still have her. Have a fab week . Soojay #14
OH I LOVE the new print. I too am having issues with reading quite a few that are light in color. Some I now can't enlarge the photos and difficult to make out what's really there. But your's is great. Sorry but is your little MGB a rock? It's adorable. Years back my one boy friend had a red MG convertible now a collectible for big bucks. !!! Have a great week and Happy WOYWW kind of day.
Love your MGB rock! Great story! And cool that she is still running and being used after all these years!
Have a great week!

Hi Angela, wow 40 years for Mustard is good going. They don't build cars like they used to (and now I sound like my late father). I love the detail on the rock, its definitely something to be treasured. I think I've managed a bigger font on my blog, I wish they could let you select a default font and size (which they probably do, but I haven't found it yet). Have a lovely week, hugs Heather xx #16
Hi Angela, isn't Mustard a darling I've seen pictures of you with her and she really is fantastic. You've given her lots of love and attention over those 40 years, lovely to now have a have a mini Mustard indoors to remind you of all those happy days. Don't go leaving her in the park now, this one is a sure fire keeper.. Hope you are keeping well?? I feel a catch up in needed over the weekend.. Sending Hugs Tracey xx
I love your pebble MG! I used to have a MG Midget back in the day - flame red...
Happy woyww!

'Mustard' looks amazing and what fun to recreate it onto the pebble x. Great memories x
Happy Belated WOYWW. I love your MG (and I am sure the real car is just as gorgeous!). Fantastic that you name your cars. All of the vehicles on the farm (except for the tractors etc!) have got names. Makes it easier to know which one is being used. Ali x #18
Absolutly love your pebble MGB GT - we have one too that is blue and has just celebrated its 40th birthday! :-) The idea is amazing and I think I will make one myself! Thank you for sharing!
Love and hugs

40 years is pretty amazing! You know I love your little 'mustard', such a cute idea. I have a huge font on my blog otherwise it looks all out of proprotion with the photos. Can't seem to get pics side by side or next to text on new blogger so going huge otherwise there is too much space. In my viewer anyway, I'm never sure what other people see! Have a great week, Stay Safe, stay well, Cindy #27
LOVE the rock. You are so great at painting these with such great details. How fun!! I agree with the new font being easier to read. But then again, it could just be my old eyes that need bigger and brighter! LOL. Have a wonderful week. Dorlene #33
Oh such a tease saying you'd changed the font but not actually saying to what!! Certainly found it easy to read today but can't remember what went before either - such is my brain capacity these days LOL. Love your car, thanks for the visit BJ#23
Great job with the stone and the MG Angela, when you said last week that you’d added some more details I couldn’t imagine why, bu actually, it really is obviously an MGB Isn’t it. Wasn’t it Michaelangelo who saw the angel in the stone and carved to set her free? You can claim to seeing a car in a stone! And other things actually, its a skill!
Your little pebble car is so cute, Angela! You've done a lovely job with it. My dad adored MGs and had a red MGA which was his first sports car, and then he had 2 British racing green MGBs (not GT) - all 3 were open topped and he loved to drive with the hood down. He then got a Porsche which he had for many years, well into his retirement, which was replaced by a second Porsche which he was still driving aged 87! He loved his sports cars. Your MGBGT brought back many fond memories. I am amazed you have had it for so long, and it is obviously very well cared for, and much loved! I really love the little pebble!
Thank you for visiting, and I'm glad you enjoyed my knitting projects, and of course, the kitties!
Happy belated WOYWW,

Hello. Thank you for the comment on my blog. I was so sorry to read about your father. How dreadful for you and your mum that you couldn't see him or have a funeral. Hugs to you. Anne x Copper Beech Crafts
You have made a fabulous job on your pebble MG Angela. Love all the details. I no longer have mine so it brought back memories. Glad you like the change of font, the blog is lovely and clear to read now. Stay safe and Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah #2
Ahh, that little car made me smile, my mum drove a 'Triumph' back in the days when I was a young girl. The car had just the same color green. I also remember the walnut dashboard... sweet memories! Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier this week, and your compliment about my new hair/look. Happy, belated woyww and hug-from-a-distance! Marit #26
Hi Angela! I certainly do appreciate the large font on your blog, so many blogs I have to enlarge which makes it difficult to view the pictures properly. Your little green car is so cute! 40 years is a long time to have a car, does it still work? We have a new car that the dealer told us the colour was called "ginger-ale", so I wanted to name it "Ginger". My hubby is not into naming cars, but I may just do it anyway. Thanks for your earlier visit, have a great week! Lindart #34
What a brilliant stony tribute to your much-loved family Classic car - and though she may originally have been Mustard, she looks so smart in racing green!
