WOYWW -579 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Everything's back to normal, desk is a mess!
New stuff from Hobbycraft and a salad spinner, what fun I'll have with that!
I think everything else is more or less the same as last week. There is a box of labels that I'm going to use on the storage in the cabin.

And if that'a not enough this arrived.

Full of gorgeous stuff from DecoArt. Can't wait to have a play with those.

And as many of you were admiring my MG rock last week:

here is the real Mustard.

Naming the car I think is something that collectors tend to do as we don't normally call our cars anything unless it's a swear word because they've broken down!

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x

What a lovely car Mustard is! Our guilty TV viewing is Wheeler Dealers, we love seeing the old cards brought back to life again. You caught the car perfectly on the pebble. But a salad spinner? Really?? What are you going to use that for, the mind boggles......lol!

Ooh, she's a great little car isn't she, and the pebble is a great match - you can have one outside and one inside now! I'm intrigued by the salad spinner - I'm thinking pouring paint but I've only see that done with a colander and I can imagine the salad spinner would decorate the entire room, not just the paper!
Hope you have a great week using that lovely new stash,

I love all your new stash and can imagine you in that cabin of yours having fun with it all...just hope the rain stays away for you so you don't get too wet getting there :-).
I love Mustard...I bet you love driving out in it.

Love your pebble car, Angela, that's brilliant.
It is very exciting now that you can visit Hobby craft again isn't it. I've been 3 times for fabric for masks since it's been open. Even the queuing is ok.
Have fun with your new stash.

Amazing car!

Oh I just knew I would love that car! I was intrigued by the salad spinner - I'm wondering if you just have it there by accident or if it's for some sort of art project. I've learned over the years never to be surprised by a random kitchen object on an artists table! Have a wonderful week, Lisa-Jane #16

A salad spinner on your craft desk can only mean one thing - you have been watching Tracy Evans! Am I right?
Ooh, love DecoArt stuff, think the paints are magic and I have quite a collection myself gleaned mainly from Di at the weekends away with her and Andy Skinner. Enjoy - no need to say it, you will!
Love the real car, and the pebble one. Bet that is one pebble that will not leave the house.

Hi Angela, thanks for the earlier visit. Busy desk and lots of stash there to play with - wonder what you'll do with the salad spinner? I've seen a few suggestions over the years!! Absolutely love the car. Happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, Cindy #23

Hi Angela, laughing at the salad spinner, seen so many people buying them, and passing on prices and where to buy on Fb. Tracy has a lot to answer for if theres a shortage, lol. Love Mustard, and such a beautiful classic colour.Stay safe, have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 X

Hi Angela, that’s a great car. My favourite car was my Tigre, the old design. I didn’t care for the new design much. I had to sell it when I started taking my father to hospital appointments and everywhere else. I had his car which was nice and easy for him to get into, it was a better car but.... now I am desperate to know what you are going to do with the salad spinner, or should I just google “Tracey and salad spinner”. Have fun Angela #25

I have a friend called Janine who has previously been events co-ord and secretary of the MG owners club, I wonder if you know her?! That would be a small world! Mustard looks absolutely mint! I can see paint spinning in that salad spinner, am very much looking forward to your blogs about it! So much more fun than drying salad!!

My 17 year old cyber green vw beetle is called Frida.
Named after Frida Kahlo the Mexican artist, as that’s where she was built before being shipped to Germany for the electrics and finally ending up in Lancashire where she’s lived ever since.
Not quite as vintage as Mustard but getting there heehee

Awww... lovely to see precious Mustard! There must be a reason for the name... you aren't colour blind, are you lol!! My hubby's first cat was black and she was called Tabby and I always teased him about that, with his colour blindness lol! Mustard does bring back memories of Dad's beloved MGs although they weren't the GT version but MGBs with the open top. Here is a picture of his cars (it says "Grandad" because I made the album for my niece): https://www.flickr.com/photos/12780076@N05/26468944947/in/album-72157692321626942/ (The smallest person in front of the Ford Consul is me!) Mustard looks like new! She is obviously very well loved and cared for with her gleaming chrome.

You've got some fabulous new stash. I am wondering what on earth you are going to do with the salad spinner if it's in your studio and not in the kitchen!! The basket in my salad spinner is starting to split and I really should replace it soon. If there's an alternative crafty use for a salad spinner I'd be glad to know it!! I hate throwing stuff away.

Thank you for your visit, and for your kind words about my wacky clothes. I've always loved dressing up! We are fortunate in having some really good places for ethnic/hippy clothes around here (Totnes and Teignmouth) and there's always Ebay, of course. A lot of my stuff is impulse buying and it's usually pretty cheap which is a bonus. I'm really glad I didn't get rid of a lot of stuff. I've still got a couple of dresses I can't get into and I won't part with those - I may lose a bit more but I'm not trying so hard now, and maintaining a pretty steady weight. Whole-food plant-based is definitely the way to go.

The kitties say meow.
Happy WOYWW,

Hi Angela, hunh are you planning to do crafty things with the spinner? ( I use one in my kitchen so that was a surprise to see on your desk haha) I am picturing that inside basket being a pain to remove paints from for some unknown reason. Love how your rock turned out you really nailed it from the view of the real thing :) ~Stacy #28

She's a writer and poet... and my dad is a great (amateur) photographer - I inherited both talents (words & images)I guess. Have a great week dear one, stay safe! Big hug from the Netherlands! We’ve always named Our cars. Mine is a sports car called’ Storm’ which The Doc is in the process of bringing out of the garage ( where it has been on trickle charge since pre lock down) as we are taking it for a spin later today. Just round the country roads and back home again so still social distancing. Hugs Mrs A.
