Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

As promised last week, what are they up to?
They are putting up bird and bat boxes.
It's great to know that so much is being cared for here in the park. I just hope they are careful as these boxes are a long way up the trees which you can probably guess by the length of that ladder.
Maisie was watching but didn't seem terribly interested.

Look whose back again.

Like lots of places we've had some heavy winds recently and we noticed this had blown off the other day. It is not meant to stick out like that!

I have no idea what these workmen are looking at but they were there for at least half an hour. It sure takes a lot of men to look down a hole Lol!

Work is progressing behind us.

This gives a better idea of how far away the new houses will be.

And from the fence this is looking back at our house. That's my cabin on the left.

We finished off the week with a visit to the vet's for Maisie's monthly injection for her arthritis.

They were a bit behind and Maisie got a bit fed up waiting. She's having a good yawn here. Funny thing was that of the other three dogs we saw at the Vet's two of them were Schnauzers so she enjoyed meeting them too.

And Maisie says we need a few smiles after all that.

Dogs can be useful at times.

Silly man, he's just asking for trouble!

Doesn't he realise that dogs understand the word Walk! I even think they can spell it as we've tried saying it only using the letters but they still know what it means.

You wouldn't catch Maisie and Stan going out in the rain without their own coats which actually is more for our convenience as they come back clean rather than wet and muddy!

Hope that gave you a few smiles.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

Your funnies have made me chuckle...no words are needed here. Dod has gone driving for our daughter’s printing business this morning and dared to put the shoes on that he wears to walk Milly!! She was so disappointed when he went out the door without her lol. I’m always pleased to see Mr Fox visiting so thanks for the pic. Lovely to hear the men with the ladder were putting bird/bat boxes up...I love my birds.
Hugs,

How nice to learn what that ladder was for. I didn't realize those boxes needed to be that high, but I guess it's more for the safety of the boxes than anything else.

Loved the funnies. I'm so happy my two don't need to go outside to "walk." Hope you are enjoying your Friday and weekend, Angela. I'll be back playing next week.

How wonderful that they are making bird and bar boxes. Really good.
And Mr Fox is back! It's great to see him (or her).
Oh dear, that gutter! Is it your gutter? Now you will need that long ladder too.
I had to smile at the men by the hole. Here in Spain there are always onlookers. Two men working and 5 watching. (One is planning, the other is supervising and another is checking that it is being done correctly and the fourth one is making notes. The fifth one is the boss and occasionally puts in an appearance too.)
The interior of the vets looks very much like ours. Do you think Maisie recognizes them as being Schnauzers? Interesting...
You had me giggling at the funnies.
Have a lovely weekend.
Hugs,
Lisca

Now why didn't I think of that with the bird/bat boxes....I had no idea! Yay to the fox x. Sorry about your downpipe Angela x. Had a little chuckle about the amount of men looking down that hole! Glad Maisie met some new Schnauzers to yawn with at the vets....lol x. Thanks too for the funnies...love them x.

Well I wasn't too far out with my guess last week as i suggested they may be checking nesting boxes. They will certainly be pretty high up but some birds (and bats) prefer that. I hope they get used. They do take good care of your park.
The new houses are a fair distance from you aren't they, so unless they have loud rave-ups in their back yard all summer, you shouldn't get much disturbance.
The foxes have certainly learned to live in a semi-urban situation. it is good to see they are still around.
I am hoping to get a vet appointment for Kim this week. It is a right mission to get him there and gets over-excited if he has to wait, but she is very good with him. Kate x

It does take a lot of men a great deal of time to see inside a hole, doesn't it? Ever thus! Love the funnies, as always!
