Friday Fun Day with Sad Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

This is something you don't really want following you in the garden.

Hubby was down the garden with the dogs when he heard a loud buzzing only to find that he was being followed by a swarm of wasps.

He managed to get him and the dogs back in before they reached the house and I took this photo through the window. They stayed for about ten minutes and then moved on...thank goodness!

The garden's looking pretty but don't know where these came from they just appeared.

Alfie came to see what I was doing.

The cygnets are doing well in the park.

A sad day on Wednesday when we went to pick up mum's stuff from the care home.

This will be the last time I stand and look through this window.

Sorry no funnies today.

Some sadness yes......

But my friends will get us through it.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

WOYWW - 782 - (2) What's on Your Workdesk Wednesdsay.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit
Sarah's Craft Shed and our host Sarah will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

We're a bit tidier today, even the exploding box is!
I have been a bit occupied this week so not alot been going on really.
The box on the right is the one with the new paints, I'm afraid you will have to wait a little while yet to see how they perform.
On the left side towards the back is the ATC folder I've made.

They are a great collection. These are the ones from the Crop but there will be a few more to follow.

This was so much fun to make.

This was a bit of a last minute plan.
I had promised to do a class for the ladies at the Craft Club but thought you might like it too.

Kate Crane stamps and stencilled background, love it.

This is a Pop Out card but if you want to see more you'll find it on my Monday post here:

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Masterboard Monday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am here today to show you a card made with this Masterboard:

I've used an A3 sheet of card, some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide and a stencil.

I applied the colour to the card and then added a slightly darker ink to build up the design to look like water. The stencil was moved around to give the effect of water movement.

I have used a stronger blue on the next one.

The pattern builds up as you replace the stencil and add the different shades of blue.

And so to the finished card.

I've layered up sections of the finished Masterboard and used some Kate Crane stamps to create the fish which were painted and fussy cut. The tentacles and sentiment are from a different company.

These fishies are so cute.

The card is a pop up style.

Seeing the card from above helps you to see how it works.

At this stage it's important to check everything.

It has great depth to it but is completely flat when clossed.

This only uses a small amount of the Masterboard so watch this space, it may be back.
Hope you like it.
I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

I don't know why Alfie puts up with this but Daisy has to be next to Des and usually pushes him out of the way but as he wouldn't move she sat on him.

Not that he looks bothered.

This was actually last Friday but it was too late to post it. This is the garden centre cafe at Brigg.

The weather wasn't brilliant but it didn't matter.

It is a lovely place to eat.

And we had a good old fashioned steak pie. I don't eat potatoes but who would need them with all those gorgeous vegetables. I do understand that some of you wouldn't agree with that Lol!

We did have a walk round and these were some of the  things for sale.

Not something I would buy but had to admire the Schnauzer.

He/she is a lot better behaved than my two!

Hope you can see this little chap, he was hiding amongst the plants when I was tidying up a bit but didn't seem to be bothered by me.

I had another visitor landed on my hand when I was putting the washing out.
In case you're confused I am wearing my wedding ring on the other hand at the moment as the finger on my left hand is a little swollen just a bit of arthritis.

I did go and see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last week too.

It's lovely to see the theatre doing so well. which was a great day.

Saturday was the woyww Crop at Stoke on Trent.

I've got behind a bit posting some of these but it's been a difficult couple of weeks and it was this Wednesday sadly that my mum died but she will be at rest now.

That's probably enough for one day but got to finish with a smile.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for

WOYWW - 781(1) - What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
We are here for another Wednesday at the Workdesk and here is:
"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

Mmmm.... things don't look much different here today! Still need a good tidy up and the exploding box sorting.

If you were around Monday you will have already seen this as I did manage to finish part of it but need to decide what will go on the rest of it.
Oh! and that's the stencil I used to create the sea effect. If you had one of my ATCs you will recognise the fish too and if you are one of those that I am posting to pleased don't worry they will be on their way soon it's just that I have not manged to get to the post box yet.

I had a little surprise arrive in this sweet little box and bag.

They are  a sample tin of colour shift watercolour paint.

And some free samples too. I'll let you know how I get on with these. By the way this is from a company in the UK which is unusual.

I didn't take many photos at the Crop but there will be plenty to see around the group but here are some of us enjoying a cuppa.

Neet, Helen, Sarah and Cindy.

Eva has her back to us and you can see Julia and Caro in the background and I think that's Annie at the side of her, not sure but I think that's Jo behing the bar making tea.

There you see we did do some crafting too Lol!

Such a happy day.

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww

Masterboard Journal Grids.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I am back to the Masterboard Journal Grids today:
If you've not seen it before there are other pages here:here: here: and here:

I've been playing with a stencil (Crafters Workshop 'Organic Matter') to create the look of the sea.

And next, tear and cut these to fit the grids.

And layered this with some papers to resemble the beach.
I've added some dotty stamping to give a textured look to the sand and then added the sea. I applied some textured medium to the edge to create the Seafoam too.

I have some left over sea shells from another project and thought these might go well with it.

I've added some Stickles Glitter glue to the waves.

This is not my usual collage page but I still like the way the grids have turned out.

I found a stamp from a magazine freebe and thought that would work well with this. Stamped and heat embossed it.

The die cut net effect is by Altenew.

Now you might well see some of these grids again as they are not all completed yet so we'll see and I might use some of them as card fronts too.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x
